As a young Haitian-American male college student in Arizona I was not exposed to my haitian cuisine nearly enough as a kid, with all my family from Haiti living in Florida I just had my father who cant cook Haitian food. Anytime my aunties would come or we would go to Florida id get to eat my fill of my favorite food. Your videos have allowed me to experience it by making it myself!

My condolences goes out to you and your family. I love your channel! Im haitian american and cook alot of haitian style food. Theres this one recipe I haven't tried yet but taste it before at haitian parties.I dont know the name in english but in creyol its called ARONSOL (I maybe spelling it wrong lol). Its like a chopped up dried fish with onions, pepper sauce. It taste sooo good with bread. I would love to see your way of cooking it really soon 😀😍😀

Yes, I no longer use maggie bouillon cubs. You can add a little more of the seasoning I used, it will be fine.

Thanks and ok hun, but keep in mind every stove temperature is not the same. Example I can say 5 minutes on my stove and it takes 8 minutes on someone else's stove because there temperature is lower then mines.

sorry to hear about your father but I will say this all Haitians from parents who are 100% Haitian knows we use garlic, peppers, onions, Haitian seasoning that we make with garlic, scallion and etc. In Haiti where can you really find that seasoning we really love using Maggi. Last time iv'e been in Haiti to visit my family and friends was in 2014 and I plan on going in the summer. When you are in the U.S you do use other seasoning cause it's available to you cause Haiti supermarkets are so expensive and cost of living is high including the food.

@@dorannette26 Same here going next year and i would give up my U.S passport to live there cause here has nothing for me. The lifestyle in Haiti is so different than here and the cost of living is so high year and in Haiti you pay rent by the year and it's cheaper you can run a generator and certain food is so better thee and drinks. For example passion fruit and lemonade is better in Haiti and plantain and fry chicken is so much tastier. Have fun and good luck I love Haiti even though I am born in NY.
Lele Cheraime ... yes Haiti would definitely be my first choice, the majority of the food and livestock is organic and if you purchased a home along with the land, it is yours, no yearly taxes like here. The lack of security and earthquakes would stop me from living their.
