Hey Freddie!!!!, I tired this recipe and It came out great!!! I let three of my co workers try it as I brought it to work for breakfast and they loved it!! I told them that I learned it from you. I went on this journey to learn how to make Haitian food after having to live on my own and recently having a son. In the culture I have always admired Haitian women and the way they love in the form of them cooking and taking care of their household. But I found that although like you I was taught by my grandmother how to clean meat, she attempted to teach me how to cook but I was lazy and didn’t realize the importance of it until I got older. It was very challenging finding the right person to watch as the difficulties I faced when it came to cooking was the seasoning. Thanks to you I can cook with confidence knowing that the food is going to always be on point. And have been trying your recipes one by one. You have no idea how thankful I am!!! Groceries an’t cheap!!!!!!! And cooking a meal can last two to three days. Thank you for helping me out. I really appreciate you!

Heyy, I love your videos! Is there any substitute if I don’t have self rising flour?

    • @cookingwithfreddie

Yes, you can use all purpose flower but you also have to use baking soda to make it rise use around 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda per 1 cup of flour

It's pronounced bonnet like Scotch bonnet pepper, or like a bonnet that you put on your head
