After the glorious realization that I didn't record any audio on our original video, here's li'l ole me giving my thoughts on the Greek entry for Eurovision 2024
Greece is interesting to me. When I first heard it, I wasn't overly obsessed with it. Interesting voice, but a blend of genres that I didn't care much about. But now, God do I ADORE it.
@@marsyas. Staging, camera work and recaps will do the trick. It may go viral during the actual performance. Also it will be heard more to the casuals through the semis. It can do top 5

We really enjoy your videos, and the fact that you guys do this out of fun and love for the contest, is a big part of the charm of your reaction videos.
I just wanted to say thank you for coming back and letting us know your thoughts , the amount of work that gets put into these videos is insane, it’s been lovely to hear an in-depth reaction in response ❤️ I absolutely love this track and I really hope it does well , how Marina mixed traditional and modern is amazing and it’s that sound clash and marriage which works so well for me Thanks to all the team this year and enjoy watching Eurovision Ian
Blatant nod to Love Actually? I just felt it was us landing on an airport and meeting our guide so to speak. Could be a joke there, but if it is not it sounds very small minded to think very common situations are a nod to some hollywood film. Otherwise i agree with most that you said. I love the video and the concept of it, but the song is catchy and interesting on its own aswell. Definitely one of my favorites.
I feel it splits opinion. Some adore it and say it could win while others find it episodic and the reggaeton style or the folk style not to their taste. For myself in the first listen I definitely found it very episodic and chaotic.
I respect the idea behind the song, the creativity behind the video, and her singing skills. I don't like the song at all, though. It's a mix of genres I don't like, with innovations that don't sit well with me. So a total miss, and sitting towards the bottom of the table. Wishing nothing but the best of luck to her and her team anyway.
The hamas pr machine is doing wonders, I see. If you are gonna exlude Israel for whatever reason, maybe you should do some research in Azerbaijan which is actually commiting what people think that Israel is commiting

Personally not a fan of the song… or of her voice in the high notes if I’m honest. It’s just the style of singing I think. Too messy and not cohesive at all for me. I normally like a lot of Greek pop (not just Eurovision m) but this is a skip. Having said that, I can see it qualifying but I’m not sure how it would then do in the final. I’d have more faith if there were fewer televote friendly songs. This one is hard to call.

@@TMPOUZI Personally I question how well it will do in Western and Northern Europe based on the style and I doubt the casual viewers will take to it in one listen. I can see it potentially picking up some votes, maybe even enough for a top 10 given that it will be doing better in the other parts of Europe… but in a year like this? I just can’t see it going top 5. I don’t believe it will be top 3 in either the tele vote or with the juries. I can think of a handful of songs that will beat it in both of these… some of which should do well in both. Mind you, it’s Eurovision and we have yet to see it all proper on stage. Surprises are surely coming.
@@Leifdk1 if it's top 5 televote and top 10 jury, it will settle in 5th spot. I don't think France , Israel, Ukraine, Belgium will get half the votes from people as Zari will get, especially after the staging and director's intentions reveal
@@TMPOUZI I don’t think it will be top 5 in either to be honest. Juries are more likely to favor the likes of France, Italy, Switzerland, Ukraine and whatever ballad emerges victoriously from semi 1. For me Greece is therefore one of a couple of songs that has a chance to be the unexpected wild card here… but that is a long shot. And the tele vote will probably go for Croatia, The Netherlands, Armenia, Finland and Estonia. I see Greece potentially in the top 10 of both… but I don’t see them bothering the top spots year. We can disagree on my analysis but this is what my statement is based on. It’s just my opinion based on the information available at this time. While I do not enjoy the song myself, I won’t take away from the song’s artistic value. It’s bold and has a vision. I can respect that. It’s just not for me and I predict Europe being divided on it geographically. Standing out is great but there is such a thing as being too divisive. Especially with so many out-of-the-box songs. But listen, just enjoy the song and by all means root for it and have faith that it will do well. Mine is just one opinion and while I have been right before, I have also been wrong. Eurovision is often unpredictable, so who really knows?

Absolutely hated it at first, but grew to love it so much. Wonder how it fares in the final with people hearing it for the first time

I don’t like the song. It’s okay now, but the first time I heard it, I thought it was awful (apart from the ballad part). 😅
As a German-Greek I respect Marina's art and wish her success, but this song is not my cup of tea. Too complex.
