    it's not necessary to separate the upper control arm and the knuckle.

    Interesting how many different types of torching you have to do per bolt

    Very nice 👍🏻 wish I had watched this one first.
    What is it with broken strut springs on F150’s? Bad hardening/heat treatment? Both of my 2011 xlt supercrew rwd springs were broke.

      Great question! I just bought a 2011 with 63k on it and I just found out both sides were busted while chasing a brake issue.

    Are the struts the same for 2WD and 4WD? I ask because I'm trying to buy some struts that says 4wd but it looks identical to the 2wd.

    Nice...consolidated into specific, sequential moves. Removed are the curses and tears of prying, hammering, and torqueing away. And THAT is why they charge us $300-$400 a strut/shock...and other car repairs are ~$80 an hour.

    I have to do this on my lifted f150 with lifted spindle and the spacer on top of the strut. It’s being a pain to get out.

    This is the first video where they did not take all the brakes and outer axle nut off and completely gut the front end. Looks similar to my 2010 so I will be doing this shortly. 400FT/LBS, Really?

      @TRQ  Před rokem +2

      +MARK DUQUETTE Thanks for watching! It does sound like a lot, but for these trucks the torque spec for the lower strut bolt is 406 lb-ft.

    God, and for the next man who has to remove the bolts, good luck. I hate threadlock. Really kind of silly to use threadlock on parts that are clearly worn out!
