What a catchy Anthem! Throughout the time I've spent working on each of the 32 anthems, Cameroon's has definitely stuck in my mind, and I find myself singing the melody quite often as I go about my day.
Again, I used my trusty resources (nationalanthems.info and www.colin-kirkpatrick.com/nati...) to get the easy bit, the melody, written out, and then I listened to many recordings on CZcams and added in the bass line and inner harmonies.
Cameroon's National Anthem (The Rallying Song) was used on an unofficial basis beginning in 1948. It became officially adopted as the National Anthem less than a decade later in 1957. The music was composed by René Djam Afame (awesome name), who was born in 1910 and died in 1981.
