Step 1: create your digital product
Digital products are any product that comes in a file format.
just go to your WordPress dashboard.
go to ’products and click ‘add new’ and then enter the product name
Enable ‘downloadable option’.
And click ‘add file’ to add your product file.
Add your product image and then click ‘publish’ to create your digital product.
Step 2: how you can remove address fields from the checkout page
Since we’re adding a digital product, it’s not necessary for the customers to enter their address here.
As it can be directly downloaded from your website.
just go to your dashboard and go to plugins and click ‘add new’
Now search for a plugin called ‘Digital goods’
Click ‘install’ and then activate.
Just click on the text
And then select the fields which you want to remove from the checkout page
If you’re using Instamojo payment method on your e-commerce website
Just deselect ‘Billing phone’
click ‘save changes’
Now your customer can download the digital product from your website,
once they purchase it.
Now your digital product can be downloaded by your customers as many times they want.
So to limit the number of downloads, you need to set the download limit for your digital product.
, just open your digital product
then enter the number of downloads in the download limit option
And click ‘update’.
So this is how you can sell your digital products on your eCommerce website.

Also, the plugin you recommended has an error. It takes over the wp_mail function and sendgrid smtp no longer works. Not sure why this plugin should be messing with mail sending at all.

Amazing video! I have a question: The "Downloads" portion of the "order received" page does not display right away. Waiting about 10 seconds, then refreshing fixes this. Is there a way to have it appear right away like it does in your video?
some times I need to make updates to the product. when I replace the files with a new file and add that new file to the product all my customers who previously purchased can no longer get the new updated file unless I give them all permission 1 at a time. How can I replace the old file with a new file without breaking their access link?

The digital product is a zip file but what is getting downlioaded after the purchase is a file which is just "File". I tried to download PDFs and is doing the same. You can allow users to create an account on checkout by going to Woocommerce ➔ Settings ➔ Accounts & Privacy ➔ Check - Allow customers to create a account, This way they can comeback and login to download their product. There will be a few major cities (say 7-8) in my country where i want to sell my product according to the availability of the product at that city. Few set of products are available in ALL THE CITIES and some are available ONLY IN FEW CITIES. So I want to display the products according to the selection made by the visitor.
