- Today I am reacting to every character trailer that dropped for Persona 3 Reload. This includes the trailers of Makoto, Yukari, Junpei, Akihiko, Mitsuru, Fuuka, Aegis, Koromaru, Ken, Shinjiro and a modded guest appearance by Walter White himself. These characters all look incredible and I am very excited to play the Persona 3 remake when I get the chance!

Classic Persona characters are way more than first impressions. P3 has my fav cast in the series. Junpei is my fav character for how he develops and grows, plus he's just a fun guy. Especially love how his love for baseball influences his attack style and his appearances in other games. Mitsuru is best girl.
I have been playing Persona 3 for the first time since December last year. I went with P3 Portable since I only have a Switch which will not receive the remake, and I don't have a good PC for gaming or else I would wait for Reload.
But yeah, Junpei surprised me later in the story. At first, he didn't please me that much, but starting with the introduction of Chidori to the plot, Junpei got so much development and ending becoming a great character. Best second Persona awakening in the game!
And yeah, Mitsuru is best girl for sure.
The Makoto Yuki (P3MC) trailer is so funny cuz you can fill a compilation of the mc getting shit on by ppl and a compilation of him shitting on other ppl. So hearing them compliment him so much is so funny to me.

6:53 theres a spin off game on 3DS called Persona Q2 which is a crossover between P3, P4, AND P5! and Junpei and Ryuji become friends pretty quickly!

fun fact about koromaru (the dog) He actaully has a Voice actor doing the dog sounds. before in og 3 he had stock dog sounds. and for my favorite characters. obviously Minato (the MC), Junpei, Mitsuru, and Koromaru. also funny you were caught off guard with Akihikos voice. cuz before he was voiced by Liam O'Brien. and i like alejandro as akihiko but alot of us agree its a bit too deep sounding compared to how he used to sound like.

@@andybruand og Akihiko had some memorable quotes that was really easy to meme. Most famous ones are:"I've been waiting for this!", "Waiting is a part of my strategy!", "Where have you been!?" and "I regained my honor".

@@losharikoved the line itself doesn’t imply anything about the story if you don’t know what happens. Akihiko and Shinji are close friends, not out of the question for Aki to say this outside of story context, even more so to someone who’s never played P3
Ken is interesting cause he’s the youngest Persona user in the entire series, he’s only in 5th grade

shinjiro is my favorite! i always fall for the misunderstood sad characters in most any group of em, and he’s just so special to me. they’re all so incredible though and it’s so much fun to witness people getting to fall in love with this cast for the first time. i am gonna have to remember to watch you play whenever you do stream it. you have good energy!

Minato is likely the strongets persona user out of 3-5 honestly.
Definitely summing up each character pretty well. Soooo looking forward to reload. Less than a month to go!

I can give you a little description of the characters:
Protagonist: His official name is Makoto Yuki.
Yukari: She is a popular girl in school, is part of the archery team and she is my favorite girl in the entire franchise.
Junpei: The clown of the group, him and Yukari were class partners in the past year.
Akihiko: Captain of the boxer team and it wants to become stronger.
Mitsuru: Is the president of the student council.
Fuuka: She is an insecure girl.
Koromaru: He was the dog of a priest but it passed away.
Aigis: A mysterious robot that says that her priority is to protect Makoto.
Ken: He is a mature kid but he loves the superhero movies.
Shinjiro: He is a tough guy outside, but inside he is a kind guy that loves cooking and pets Koromaru when nobody is watching him, he is my favorite in the team.

Yea. He dual wields personas. Between 3 4 and 5 he's the only one who has Fusion Spells. SMT aside, if I remember correctly, it started in persona 2 and was never use again after 3.
*The double persona is called Fusion Spells in-game.*

@@andybruit works like this: example If you have pyro jack and jack frost with you, you can use their fusion spell called Jack Brothers. It's a combination attack.
I don't know if they changed it for reload though, because in portable they turned it to items like the megido gems etc. Which sucked because it became limited use.
@@meikisaragi1445 From what's been revealed, the protagonist's fusion spells are his Theurgy mechanic. He's the only one in the party to have multiple Theurgies.
There are interactions between Ryuji and Junpei in Persona Q2
Lol, my favorite character is also Mitsuru, although to be Makoto's partner I always choose Yukari because she is the one who makes the most sense in the plot.

Just passing by to say you have great taste. P3 FES was my first Persona game, and I instantly got all heart-eyed for Mitsuru, too! To this day she might by my fav Persona girl. Shinjiro, meanwhile, is my fav char out of the whole series - with Akihiko and Junpei close behind. This cast is really good and while I think the themes this game covers are partially responsible for why I may identify with and feel more attached to the P3 cast as a whole, they're also just a very well developed and interesting group. And yes, the dog is perfect.

i played p5r p4g and p3p and l'll say p3 has my favorite characters cause ( im not sure is atlus chaned this from the other game) but the party members backstory are really important to the story not just like they are kinda in the same boat as the protag or they feel the same way about the goals they feel like real people with their own reason why they are even fighting and everybody's story forms the plot really good I think you will like these guys
I think if you eventually play it, I’ll just watch for a bit until there’s a sale
Honestly my final party members besides MC are Mitsuru, Ken, and Koromaru just cause they are amongst my favourites but for some story important fights I switch them up to fit the games narratives
The funny thing is if I knew this remake was coming I wouldn’t have gotten the original on my PS4 😅 (I haven’t gotten very far in it)
Well, think of it this way, you can do the male mc run on reload, and the female mc run on ps4. Both are worth their own runs.
I think this could still be a great first experience for you! I haven’t played the original either, I’m gonna experience it for the first time through the remake!

About Aigis being Nuke-type.... that.... is something previous players can't confirm or deny as the Nuke and Psychic types have so far only appeared in the Persona 5 Anthology.

@@kira516 yeah, and how was I supposed to know, Persona 1 and 2 are still super-niche, these days when people talk about the Persona games, they remember the formula that was from P3 onwards.
aka: the Wild Card protagonist, the Social Life Simulator and.... I don't want to guess what else came with P3 onwards since I was wrong about Nuke having been introduced in P5 but I'm pretty sure the first 2 elements are true (except I think I heard that all characters in one of the older games were wild cards, but then it still makes my point as then it's not a special thing)

All characters are actually pretty good written and have their story arcs. If I am remembering correctly only boy and a dog had weak part in a story. Maybe they will change that.

Not into the "Leader" dialogue. It was fine for the dancing games, but weird in the mainline game.
I know they wanted to voice as much as possible but there were moments I saw that weren't voiced.

It isn't explained in-game but I like to think that Nemesis, Ken's persona, has that face because in Greco-Roman mythology she is one of the daughters of the final boss. I say light spoiler cuz there is absolutely nothing that alludes to this
it makes me sad seeing akihiko boiled down to "PROTEIN POWDER, LETS GET TO TRAINING", thats never really been who he was in the original game, he was always a smart but socially awkward guy who was very mature and very diligent, not just some meathead
how is he toned down when he never mentions protein at all in his trailer or any of them, his trailer is about protecting others and becoming strong enough to do it and that doesn't come off as a meat head at all with any of the writing we've seen so far he sounds like he cares about his friends. His recording part from FES has not changed, the other scenes show no mention of protein or fighting for the sake of it, and the cooking scene is how a boxing captain/athlete makes their meals in order to work with their regimens, nothing here suggests what you are saying and the voice doesn't change that either since his writing hasn't changed from these trailers.
Same case as with ken to some extent.
His trailer here makes him look childish and more cheerful than he is in the rest of the game. In reality he's too serious, tries to grow up fast so he won't be a burden and tends to keep to himself.
And don't make me start with Yukari.
@@Archetype_Angeli mean the trailers are only first impressions. Im sure everyones first impressions of the characters lines up with everything you said so whats the problem? The trailers cant show you all there is to know about a characters personality, thats what the game is for.
Easy guys, he just means in the spin off games, namely Persona Q and ultimate arena, they changed Akihiko to be a bit of a meathead who mentions protein powder whenever eating something comes up. They have a bit of a problem making characters a one note type of character based on initial impressions on the game as they don't have as much time to flesh out each individual characters in them. It's a bit better in Q2 though.
I like Alejandro Saab’s live streams, like his performances in Genshin and Honkai, but I don’t like him as Akihiko. I feel like Liam O’Brien’s performance in the original game just can’t be beat. But that’s just me, and the full game isn’t out yet, maybe he’ll grow on me. I don’t hate the voice he used, but it’s just too different.
The new actors aren’t meant to “beat” the OG’s performances, the new actors have said that their performances are supposed to be their own interpretations and the direction of the director who is the OG p3 dub director, so they chose to have these characters perform this way. Sabb can do a lighter tone like in other works he’s done but this is how they want it, the director is going with the intention they wanted Liam to do which was have a lower voice but instead Liam went with a gruff/rasp and not a low tone, so they are doing the low tone this time around.
