    Thank you! I have my City Pack Pro, and I want to love it, but I feel like it’s a big huge on my back for what I carry. I didn’t want to go to the non-pro version as I through it’d be the same size as my 14L Everki Studio Slim. Your video made it obvious the non-pro would actually still give me the width and height of the pro, but just less depth. I really wanted a work pack that I can travel with, but now I’m thinking I’d just pair it with a small duffle or something on those rare occasions I need a bit more space instead of lugging a big backpack around. Just ordered the non-pro in X-PAC and will decide once it gets here. Thanks again!

    Awesome review of both the City Pack and City Pack Pro. I ended getting both bags as you mentioned for their different use cases. I use the regular City Pack for normal light EDC that only requires things that don't bulge (I.E. laptop, notebook, chargers, cables and a few small pouches). The City Pack Pro is perfect for the winter time in the event I need to use the bag to travel to work and gym afterwards - the extra space is perfect for shoes and additional workout cloths. I have two kids and the City Pack Pro is perfect to hold diapers, cloths and other smaller kid items. If I ever need to, I will look into the Aer Travel Pack 3 (35 liter) in the future to add to my Aer ecosystem.

      @@rdd25 I have used the Travel Pack 3 Small in XPac as my EDC/travel bag for almost 2 years now. I love it but I am considering buying the City Pack in XPac because it offers the features I love about the travel pack but in a more streamlined package. The older I get and more gear I buy, the more I realize it is better to buy for specific needs rather than to get “the one that does it all”. Because now I wish I had bought the Travel Pack in the regular size for travel and the City Pack for edc. To be clear though, I still absolutely love the travel pack! It works great for an edc but there’s a reason it wasn’t designed as such.

    • @Qjemuse
      @Qjemuse Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@AmnesiaTanner I'm arriving at the same conclusion, although I havent purchased any of the aer packs yet, have only been gathering information on them.
      I already have a travel backpack and there are another one I'm eyeing so essentially I'm just looking for a light carry edc that perhaps doubles as a grocery pack from time to time.
      I have an edc backpack I'm using but it lacks internal organization which led me into the city pack pro. However, the cpp has a really weak front admin panel imo. Wth were they thinking? And I hate the useless half mesh with a passion.
      I then looked into the day pack 2, the flight pack 3, tech pack 2, and even the duffel and the fit pack 3 I believe... Yes almost everything in their roster. And I was so close in pulling the trigger to buy the tp3 as an edc! (I prefer longer packs with my 6ft height, it wasn't a huge jump in price from the tp3s, and arguably with the waist straps it'd be much more comfortable in heavier loads for my build, to use as another travel pack.... Right. Luckily I didn't in the end.)
      Eventually I think I've arrived with this city pack. A front admin pocket that I'm happy with, light weight and a small form factor as an edc. With the same length and width as the cpp so it should look decent and not too short for my build. I have always ignore on backpacks under 20L, this will be a first, with good reasons.
      Thanks for your random comment again. It helped a lot in finalizing my decision.

    Nice comparison review 👍🏻. The city version more for daily commuting carrying (office work) and casual outings to cafe, holding sufficient clothing for swimming, or gym after work.
    The pro definitely can be use as a short buisness trip given the extra room in the main compartment with the laptop in another compartment. Like the easy side access pocket with key attachment loop ideal for keys, wallet and phones and the separate laptop compartment of the pro..
    The city pack I only like it's front tech organization compartment... Wonder whether the 8th big pocket at the very back of the front compartment can fit a laptop instead of at the middle main compartment with clothings. 😂

    You promised a comparison video but I thought we would have to wait a while. No here it is only a few days later.
    Great comparison by a guy that clearly knows his stuff and his own use requirements.
    This is where we diverge however. The pro pack really speaks to me. I am quite sturdy and a large heavy bag is no problem. I like everything safe and secure in one bag. I don’t want to be carrying any extra hand items that I can easily put down then just as easily not pick up. My paranoid nature likes one secure point that I can defend an protect and not have to worry about ancillaries. With the extra pack though costly it looks like a solid investment for the future.
    I would like to say keep up the speed, quantity and quality of your output but I seriously doubt if there is any way of slowing you down. Do you have the bags delivered somewhere else then sneak them in the house so no one realises how many bags are actually being delivered.

Obviously I can find the weight number but how do the two really feel when similarly packed? Very noticeable?
    Let's say when CPP is 2/3 full and CP entirely full and another situation where both are near empty? Does the one feel better than the other in such situations or really similar with comfort? Can the City Pack fit a small packing cube with extra pair of socks, underwear, and a shirt in case luggage gets lost/delayed when traveling or is it too slim? Usually just carry laptop, 2-3 notebooks, charger, cables and a light sweater.
    Think the Pro is too big for me and hate the top heavy half sized admin panel. Thanks!

    • @ThePerfectBag
      @ThePerfectBag  Před rokem +1

      It would be a little tight. Depends on the shape of your cute. I’ve seen some that are squat, and some that are narrow. If your cube is more of a long, narrow side that you probably can make it work.

      @@ThePerfectBag It fit, but like you said it was very tight. I ended up going with the CPP which is a little too big but useful when traveling. Would love a smaller CPP with the front admin panel of the CP.
