- Miami Vice Theme HD
The adventures of the vice squad detectives of the Miami Police Department.
Stubble-faced detective Crockett lived in a sailboat guarded by his alligator Elvis. His partner Tubbs was a black New York cop looking for his brother's killer. Together they took on the Florida drug world. The show influenced men's fashions toward Italo-casual and interior decor toward the Memphis look. Very trendy music and unusual guest performers.
Creator: Anthony Yerkovich
Stars: Don Johnson, Philip Michael Thomas - Zábava

I think we can all agree that Miami Vice was definitely ahead of its time!
Quintessential 80's
It invented what's known as "feature television," making a weekly TV show in the same manner as you would a movie.
It was actually spot on with the times
O% ahead. I don't think you understand the 80's
"Ahead of it's time" has become a meaningless buzzword for "good". Miami Vice was so much an icon of it's time that it almost feels like a parody now.
@AtomicGirlNYC-fu9xy Yup. It's just a buzzword to sound smarter than you are.
It’s hard to describe to someone who didn’t grow up in the 80’s how much these shows meant to us.

Some of the fashion (like MV) as well for me... (very controversial opinion tho lul)
Maytricks Dresses and unstructured linen blazers with pastels... I’m 16 btw, so unfortunately I wouldn’t... Born much too late.
My parents just had it just perfect around late 60s-early 70s. -_-
Maytricks Nah, I meant I wouldn’t remember how it used to be since I’m a fair bit too young
I’ve had a Vice inspired collection I’ve started for quite a bit, but it’s becoming much larger now haha
The good old days when most households only had channels 2 to 13 to watch, maybe a few on the UHF dial or HBO if you were lucky... Network TV was king, most of America watched the same prime time shows, and outside of prime time it was mostly reruns of shows that aired in the 70s - stuff that our parents watched, and now watched together with us. That's one of the things that gave us a better connection and appreciation to what came before us, a connection missing with today's youth.
The 80's experience is something you can truly say, "You had to be there"...
People saying "I was at THE WAR.", now we can say "I was in the 80s"

I grew up watching Miami Vice as a kid. When I was 12, my parents told me we were moving to Florida. I was so excited thinking I going to be surrounded by Rolls Royce limousines, women in bikinis, and speed boats.
That was the day I learned that Orlando and Miami are two different worlds. The disappointment has never left me.
I actually always wondered how it must be living in Florida. Is it that bad?
My dad worked with a guy who went on vacation to FL in 1976. His family loved it. Beautiful, clean...no crime. He transferred there in '77. After Castro emptied the prisons in '78 FL went to shit. His family spent the next 5 years trying to get the fuck out.
@@smavi4133 Yes, it's bad. Great place to visit, totally different living there. I think the worst part was "season". You'd have the snowbirds come down from the North and stay for months. Usually Sept/Oct thru March/April. Then from March-Sept you have the family tourists coming down. Just a very small window during those times when it wasn't crowded. Stores and restaurants always took that opportunity to raise the prices of everything. My 20 minute commute to work would take over an hour. Taxes were insane, insurance, house prices. And, a lot of those visitors would come down with this entitled attitude and just act like complete aholes. Hence our nickname for them was tourons-half tourist half moron.
