Men asked women out on dates, and actually paid. Folks still respected their elders. And the music was incredible and unique. You never know you're living in the best of something, until it's over. If we only knew then, what we know now....

I was 2 years out of high school, and 1985 it was one of the best years of my life, i was still a virgin believe it or not LOLOL, but i was just taking my time , and this was one of my fav songs and Don Johnson was one of the COOLEST dudes i ever saw on TV . But the 80,s was by far the best decade , the music, the fashions , the food the WHOLE NINE yards , BELIEVE me when i tell you,,,, YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE ,YOU JUST HAD TO LIVE IT.
Can you blame others for wanting the 80's it was fabulous,crazy fast times,my son of the nineties wants that generation back the 🎵 music mainly ,can't blame them there was so much big fun punk bands and more, thank God for variety MTV,and even 60's detective series.
I'll always remember this. I was at NYU Hospital after back surgery when they were flying up and down the East River in helicopters, getting all those night shots. Manhattan was in full gridlock that summer with them filming all over the place! July/August of 1985. I was 18 and just out of HS, looking to get my surgery over with and get on with my life! The 80s were absolutely the most amazing time in my life.
I wish the Back to the Future time machine was real, because i really want to go back to the 80's and stay till the day GOD fetches me. 80's in my heart forever.

I watched Miami Vice when it originally aired. It was so unique. It was a tv show but it was like a motion picture. I am going to have to rewatch this show. I think people today could relate.
Who ever was thinking young 20s. Blowing coke but we made sure our family was takeing care of. Work on this show for 5 yrs. It was a BLAST. Now I'm getting near 70 and something said go play with Vice. Take care all my friends.

Class of 85. People are still doing that sort of thing today. Who cares about being six feet apart if someone isn't part of your cohort, you can still socialize. As for meeting in person, I can remember long phone calls and getting yelled at for tying up the line or not, depending on if my Dad wanted to avoid phone calls.

Remember, back then, no internet, no Iphones, no social media, no Amazon next day delivery, no streaming service. Apparently all these things don't really make us happy.
Then, folks had more meaningful personal relationships. Technology is good, but it can't replace that. And there was less financial pressure; no cybercrimes, no identity theft, no creepy surveillance on your phone.
