This song is about a venereal disease - "The Jack" is Australian slang for Gonorrhea, which is also known as "The Clap." AC/DC lead singer Bon Scott explained the origin of the song in a 1976 interview with Sounds. Said Scott: "We were living with this houseful of ladies who were all very friendly and everyone in the band had got the jack. So we wrote this song and the first time we did it on stage they were all in the front row with no idea what was goin' to happen. When it came to repeatin' 'She's got the jack' I pointed at them one after another." Added guitarist Angus Young: "After that, wherever we did the song the girls in the audience would run to the back of the hall."

Angus Young is 66 now, so was 55 when this was recorded - the most amazing part to me is that he's still (or at least was then) running around the stage like that, and doing that strip tease! I saw AC/DC twice back in their heyday in the early-80's (For Those About to Rock and Flick of the Switch tours), and I had no idea Angus would still be playing that schoolboy almost 30 years later! :)

The Jack- Gonorrhea. They wrote the song back in the mid 70's when they were living in a house in Australia with kind of a harem of women and gonorrhea went through the house. At least the old drummer and Bon got it. This is second hand, but it was their old manage who sounded serious and reliable. Also, heard when they sang this song the women who would sit in the front would run to the back of the venue. You have to watch the Donington live '91 and you'll see what Angus used to do before.
