Karibu sana mwanafunzi 😊 It is great to hear that you're excited about trying to learn the Swahili language. I believe in you and Inshallah with enough practice, you will speak the language fluently.
Correction in Somalia we don't speak kiswahili , the only Somali people who speak are those who live in Kenya and in the North East(occupied land by kenya)
With enough practice Swahili is a very easy language for anyone to learn. Yes, Swahili will be developing more across the African continent in the future.
Swahili is a Bantu african language then how can it be born heavily from arabic language? First of all this language is african it was named Kingozi prior to arabislamic invasion in Africa, meanwhile i admit that Kingozi lent some arabic/iranian/english...vocabulary to become Swahili: sahel(coast in arabic), we must admit that Kingozi now Swahili is an african language.
Maybe you misinterpreted the video. Although Swahili is a Bantu language, it has also borrowed many Arabic words as a result of the two cultures encountering each other through trade and Islamic religion historically. And you're also right but we can't dismiss the historical context of the Swahili language and many influences 😊

Very good question: You say 'Swahili' as a language when speaking in English. And you say 'Kiswahili' when speaking in Kiswahili (the native language). Hope it makes if not let me know.
@@sumathinagandra1713 The reason being is because we don't have 'jh' letter combination in the Swahili alphabet. There are around 12 of them and 'jh' is not one of them. Hence why we will have to drop the letter 'h' in your name and the letter 'j' makes more sense following a vowel (a) in your name. Therefore, JANANI is correct in Swahili. Hope this makes sense to you 😊
