  • I believe this was the USS Saipan LHA-2 but I could be wrong. Sometime around 1992 off the east coast.

One of the best Phrog videos I have seen. It brought back a lot of memories of when I was with HMM-263 in the early 80's.

I remember HMM-774 visiting what used to be my local Naval Air Station/Joint Resereve Base at WillowGrove, Pennsylvania. HMH-774 is attached to Marime Aircraft Group 49 (MAG-49) which was headquartered at WillowGrove. You guys put on very good MAGFT demos during the WillowGrove airshows.

@@mvintrigue-trawlerdiy1101 I used to go to the 2000's Airshows. As for aircraft spotting, it sounds like HMM-774 was spotted visiting WG ever since they were part of MAG-49.

Should any old 774 alumni visit the Smithsonian Air &Space Museum (Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center), they'll find MQ 400 in its classic green paint scheme. It's parked next the a Marine F-35. "You know you're vintage when an aircraft you've flow is in the Smithsonian." My CO at the time I was flying 774's helos said that, reflecting on seeing an H-34, he'd flown in Vietnam, in the Smithsonian. I can relate with
