For all of you that are confused on some basic stuff, let me explain 1. He got locked up by the people in the sex trafficking ring, they led him into a trap, hence why he is in the cell. 2. How did Aiden get his phone? The guard took him baton and his phone from him to stop him from escaping 3. The cell he is locked up in is in the same facility as Marcus, not in a STATE PRISON, like one comment I read. -_- I hope this has helped at least one person :)
I still can't get over how dissconnected the story is from it's gameplay. Especially when you go around killing people and still for some reason gain followers. If it was purely stealth and being non-lethal basically just you being a hacktivist doing pranks for lols and exposing corrupt assholes, then yeah it would fit the story pretty well.
The point of the game is to take down major systems using tools at your disposal. Much as I hate to say it, this game could've benefitted from a morality meter. Only instead of Criminal / Vigilante like the last game, Domestic Terrorist / Activist would've worked here.

If the guard is closer to the left, he will strangle him and unlock the cage. Then he will disarm the guard and trigger the blackout. The difference is that he disarms the guy instead of already having the weapon.

Having Aiden as a mysterious vigilante is a lot cooler than his one not revenge plot from WD1. I like what they've done with his character. It's subtle. Less is more.
They both fit their own locations and story. Aiden fits Chicago because it’s more of a Gotham kinda city in game. Marcus fits this version of San Francisco because it’s more upbeat, something I definitely wouldn’t imagine Aiden Pearce, the Batman of the Watchdogs universe, being.

If the guard is closer to the left, he will strangle him and unlock the cage. Then he will disarm the guard and trigger the blackout. The difference is that he disarms the guy instead of already having the weapon.

Shame the Blackout feature was never included in Watch_Dogs2. That's literally one of the coolest features of the first game, and this is the only time it's ever a thing here.
malcolmmorin well blackout more likely for the most skilled hacker, so i think Aiden is still the most skilled hacker in watch dogs universe

Having Aiden as a mysterious vigilante is a lot cooler than his one not revenge plot from WD1. I like what they've done with his character. It's subtle. Less is more.

They both fit their own locations and story.
Aiden fits Chicago because it’s more of a Gotham kinda city in game.
Marcus fits this version of San Francisco because it’s more upbeat, something I definitely wouldn’t imagine Aiden Pearce, the Batman of the Watchdogs universe, being.
