- No one is certain if this Overgrown Home is Abandoned..
I was driving through town and noticed a severe overgrown yard and noticed there was a BMW vehicle in the driveway but it had a flat tire. I stopped and knocked on the door but no one answered so I stopped over to the neighbors. The neighbors shared they haven't seen the Elderly man come out of his house in last 4 months and the vehicle is just sitting there and yard continues to grow. Is he still alive? We spent 2 days mowing the overgrown lawn and we noticed an abandoned hot tub and another area buried under a tarp that may have went to a well.

But no one has said if the owner is deceased and do we assume that due to the mention of “an estate” ??? Your estate comment could have been IN your description-- in the first sentence. IMO.

Can you imagine not knowing if your neighbor is even alive and not calling for a wellness check? Wow, what a fab neighbor. Was that a kid who answered the door? I hope the parents are a little more conscientious than that.

@@davidbruin4381 Agree! Sidewalks and driveway need to be cleaned further and more small trees need to be cut down. Maybe even clean/clear things out around that hot tub. A little disappointing.

He could be deceased, or in serious need of medical assistance.

I fell in my FRONT yard and broke my orbit bone under my eye doing so. I laid there until I got cold unable to move and traffic was passing by. No neighbors came to check. Finally I was able to move after passing out and hitting my face.

If the overgrown lawn wasn't a serious clue, maybe the BMW with the flat tire 🤔 hasn't moved for months and hasn't seen anyone coming or going. Have we gotten so involved with our own lives that we forget to care for our elderly neighbors. I have a few around me, and if I don't see them mowing, watering plants, etc. I'll truly be the first one to call. Great job, both of you 👏. Not if they were deaf. I was thinking I would never know he was there even if he knocked on my door. Well, wait, I have dogs, I know when someone is there but if I didn't I would have no clue.
@@trishaburris1724 Do youbfeel the vibrations of that equipment being used next to the house. A deaf friend can feel the vibrations of tapping your foot on the floor of even a cement slab.

Fire department to make sure he isn’t hurt and unable to go to the door. I had a neighbor like that and when I didn’t seen her blinds open I called. And she had died in there.

I’m surprised the city or county enforcement hasn’t fined them for overgrowth. That’s a huge undertaking , quite sure the neighbors appreciate a great deal. I’d ask the neighbor to call for a check, as far as you trespassing I myself as a homeowner and being Sick no way I’d be upset. You can hardly pay anyone these days to do this and you and Landon have done a fabulous job as usual ! God Bless

I wonder if the neighbors should call in a wellness check. If he's old and alone he might have dementia or be ill in some way that he can't communicate. Especially if no one is coming and going to check on him or provide groceries or anything.

There use to be a elderly gentleman who lived next door to me years ago at my old house. He never left the house but 1 time a year to go get a hair cut and return in a cab. His mail slot was to his closed in front porch which I could see from my side living room window. I noticed he hadn't collected his mail for days so I called the police. They came out and found him on the floor, he had a stroke. He passed within 2 days.😢

Your so good hearted doing this work..I live in the UK and am 67 this month..I have spinal issues and comorbidities so having someone help me is a blessing...however getting help is virtually impossible. The result is that I now have horsetail in my back and side garden. Bless you!
