- If you don't want to hear me ramble, skip to the 2:00 or so! Just some channel updates, The 3D printers aren't just for the channel anymore and I'll update soon with where some of those parts can be gotten. Thanks for all of the support over the years and I'm excited to see what I can do with more space!

Wesley's the sort of guy I wanted to be but never put the time into being. You're a cool guy, mang
For real, he's basically me but with a way higher IQ
Seriously, I just said to myself right after he said I got a metal 3D printer, that I need to stop screwing around and start chasing my dreams in the car building industry, because I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be happy until I get into a career I’m actually interested in.
I feel this in my soul.
Lol holy shit that’s pathetic
"I bought a Metal 3D printer, and While I was there I also got a Carbon Fiber 3D printer" That is going to feel so cool once you have those set up. The feeling you get with all the new possibilities running around in your head as it opens up a whole new set of options is so exciting. There is just something about getting tools that don't just open up the opportunity to do something better, or with more precision, but open up a whole new realm.
"So I started my own F1 team"
@@artbk And just think of the high speed air powered pencil sharpener he will be able to build now.
Can't wait to see what you make with a metal printer. Especially given the stuff you were already doing with plastic printed parts.
Same here. It's a huge relief finally not being stuck to prototype work.
@@WesleyKagan do you own a lathe and mill for precise work on the printed parts?
Mad scientist gets a new lair!!! Can't wait to the Frankenstein creations, love your work 👍
Thank you! Excited to not be tripping over everything!
I can't wait to see it!
Don't edit your typo or CZcams will delete Wesley's reply
I'm glad people like you exist and put content out there for us plebs.
Wes you’re a gem man. I cannot wait to see you crack the thermal energy paradox with a 3D metal printer, zip ties, resin, and a whiteboard full of genius. Post as you can man. We can and will wait.
"You guyses"
Never fails with this dude.
Needless to say I am living vicariously through you. I CANNOT wait to see what you're going to do with all these new machines!!!
This is why I dont watch TV anymore. Thank you for great content!
Super stoked for Ducati Monster content! Should be a similar engine architecturally to what I have in my SuperSport! Also stoked to see more XJS content. Shame that V12 wasn't savable, but they're really not as complex or esoteric as people assume they are. Just very ugly accessory packaging and prone to typical issues that cars of the day had with early EFI, softlines going to "floating" fuel rails, etc.
Looking forward to see what you dump in it. I need to get another one of these, but I'd like to update the V12 and let it breathe easy and sing through a custom exhaust with a 5 speed manual behind it. Just make the ultimate grand tourer.
holy crap how'd i miss this video. A full-on metal 3D printer? Those things are not cheap! Congrats on the new stuff and new place!!
I could just hear the neighbor across the street."mabel whoopee our property value just went up!” Good luck on the move
Good Luck with the project!!
Im already waiting for the next video.
Enjoy the new house and 3D metal printer! I'm looking forward to all the cool and odd stuff you create with the printer.
You and me both! Will do, Thanks
Will miss seeing your 6x6 jeep down the street, wishing you best of luck!
Thanks! Yeah It's coming with me here soon
This means BIG things for you
Ok, totally envious of the 3d metal printer and CF printer.
Back again for another episode! Wohoooo!
Looking forward to the new location and setup. I have XJS as well that suffered an engine fire (surprise surprise) with the previous owner. The engine teardown at the end of the video was very interesting.
Yeah, they are notorious for being a certain way for sure
DUDE WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING
Congrats!!
Can't wait for the new shop and content. Always fascinating. Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
YOU'RE TWO WEEKS LATE!!!!!!
All joking aside, now is the time to sell. Build the shop you want. 60x100 with a studio apartment inside is all an engineer needs
That's the plan right now.. about that size too.
@@WesleyKagan YES!!!
Hope the moving go as smooth as possible.
As I’ve gotten brighter and full of happy new ideas I realize tht I’m only one person and just how much time I don’t have to do everything.
Good luck on your new venture
Looking forward to your new prints
I love the wall mounted pc. Such a cool idea
If you ever are in need of some user tips, I'd be happy to help. I've been a Markforged certified tech and have installed several of the Metal X systems. The technician who installs the system usually makes sure you're up to speed with the system and the Markforged customer service is very strong as well. But they do forget to mention things sometimes that are worth knowing upfront.
Great job and good luck
Keep it going. Looking forward to seeing all the new stuff
I can't wait to see what you're doing with these two printers!
If you struggle to get the v12 running right, look into the dual Holley sniper EFI setup, self tunes fuel map and runs fine with any independently controlled ignition timing.
Supports more power than you’ll ever need, plus they have their own ignition control box that pairs and runs like a modern EFI, just won’t self tune ignition.
And there’s a universal fuel pump module where it will only need one big hole drilled(not 8-10 precisely drilled holes and either welded nuts on the back or tapped)
This makes me happy. FINALLY.
Glad to hear it!
Crazy wacky ideas….maybe….but what if they work. 😉👍
Sounds like very cool stuff is in the works.
Thanks for sharing.
This is super exciting, LET'S GO!!!
Thanks!
@@WesleyKagan Can't wait to see you unleash your full potential in an actual shop and not a driveway under the scorching sun
So exciting to see you growing with the channel! I can't help financially but glad that my *like, comment, subscribe, and share* provides some small compound help!
Sweet, keep telling us cool stories
Congrats on the upcoming move/shop!
Thank you!
Good to hear because I’ve been needing some Wesley Kagan content!
Awesome news! Take your time and enjoy it
Thank you! I do wish there were a few extra hours in the day to get stuff done, but you know.
Great Updates. Looking forward to the future craziness
Thanks!
Enjoy your new maker space! You certainly deserve it :)
THX !! Metal AD !!!
New space mentioned, excavator visible from 3:30 not mentioned? 🤔
4m20sec video. Nice.
Glad you’re still around dude, congrats on the upgrades 👍🏾 are you staying in AZ?
I like your "out of the box" ideas and that you really doing it. By the way, nice table you got there.🤣
Ooph, I feel the pain of that engine. Reminds me of some army auction surplus a buddy and I drove 3 states over to pick up. Got back home, opened it up, and 'til this day, no idea how sand got literally EVERYWHERE inside. Not a single cylinder, reservoir, or hose was untouched. Still though, British automotive engineering is known for making great tables.
It really is- I've never seen an engine as bad as this one. It was rough.
Keep it up man. I'm here since the 1k mark. Keep supporting innovation!!
Thanks for the support!
Wow, you've been busy! Awesome!
Any chance we"ll get more freevalve vids?
That poor poor V12! I am glad it is living in the form of a table though
Yeah, It wasn't living it's best life
Cant wait to see more of the jag 12 .... always liked those motors and thought they had so much more potential if someone would just spend the time on it...
Can't wait for the future
Same!
"Who bought a motorcycle?" is my favorite non-sequitur to demonstrate what a raconteur I am. Anyway, congrats onthe coming upgrades.
I hope everything is going your way and you'll have enough space and good neighbors in your new home.
Thank you for the kind words!
Love the content keep it up
I have been trying to find a jag body like that for a mercedes turbo diesel swap.
And custom paint. Something I've been wanting to do for years..
I have a nice mercedes w124 low mile car for motor and trans.
Just haven't found a good body that doesn't have trashed wiring.
would be cool to see a strength test between the carbon string vs the carbon embedded pla
4:20 nice
also hey i got a job as a cnc milling/turning operator. living the life. babysteps
Have you seen the Gordon Murray rocket? If not then you should, it’s the best designed lightweight motorbike powered car you’ll find, dude went on to change open wheel racing forever since that point
Freevalve jag motor. Make it so guiding one.
Hi from Australia. I’m heaps interested in the 3D metal printer and how far you can take the technology to make precise moving parts. Did you see Porsche have made 3D printed pistons?! That would be an awesome test. Also a liquid cooled rocket engine would be cool. I’m sure you could do all sorts of interesting stuff with that printer. Looking forward to seeing some future content. Cheers mate
Congrats on all the excitement! :) Do you plan on continuing the mechanical computer project? The other stuff is enjoyable to watch also, but that's what brought me to your channel ^.^
I do, I’ve been working my way through the sequel to that video for a while. I know it’s a high bar to set now that it’s been a few months, but I’m hoping it will be worth it!
@@WesleyKagan Yay! Thanks for the update 😄
(I’d stay subscribed either way, to be clear 💜)
Can't wait for motorcycle content!
It’s been too long I don’t know why I haven’t done any yet!
I’m keen to see where metal 3d printing goes, if it’s any better than the compressed steel dust gears in some tools it will be very handy.
Can’t wait for the 3d printed Briggs head and piston. Would be a good way to get a better piston suited to diesel too
Yeah it opens up a lot of different options right now I’m pretty excited for it!
Congratulations on the Metal-X. Which size sintering oven did you go for and how big of a dewar of argon did you end up with? If you could just go ahead and figure out how to build a cheap hot isostatic pressing furnace and share that with us, I'd appreciate it. :)
A true engineer's engineer! From an engineer.
What’s your profession and education? I am a huge fan and BSME senior, your active aero video inspired my mech lab design project. Congrats on your metal x and Carbon printer purchases big money stuff very exciting!
Love the update, excited for new content, however, yo mama, and what's up with the dual keyboards
Speaking of motorcycles, do you want a 1992 Yamaha TDM 850? It's been sitting around for a few years and I'm wanting to just get rid of it and I live near Oracle Junction, so not SO far from Phoenix...
I am curious if your new office will have the snow cruiser in the background.
It is a cool machine.
It will have the blueprint still, as much as I want to build a life size snow cruiser that is REALLY niche.
@@WesleyKagan life size would be really cool.
but you might have to start with hotwheels scale in that new 3D printer.
3:40 to 3:46 from sadness to glory...
How is the metal x doing for you? If you need any post machining done on parts just reach out. I’m in Tucson. I’m interested in purchasing a metal x but really want to see user content and use cases on it and look forward to hearing what you think.
Please keep the brick and orange walls at the new place.
I absolutely will keep the brick. I still have enough orange that it just makes sense too, so I think it will probably happen
I can see why my father never let me get a used 1989 XJS, I guess one can make a lot of bad decisions when you dream about something since you were eight years old.
Ah you bought 2 ducati monsters a conaisseur i see (of unreliable but o so good looking stuff)
what happened to the mechanical computer project?
What happened to the C3 project
4 20, nice
You have real next level talent, I hope CZcams brings you the millions you deserve (more than some twerking channel or whatever)
Bigger shop, metal 3D printer - sweet. Just hire movers, don't do it yourself, your back will thank you :-P
dang i swear this xjs was driving wasnt it? cant beleive the engine looks like that but the table is nice
3d printed turbo? 🤔
Where's the Corvette been?
Ooo a Metal X! Are you getting a new Gen 2 unit with the big external screen, or one of the older Gen 1 units with the screen inside the print area? Also are you getting a Sinter 1 or the larger Sinter 2 with it? I work for a Markforged reseller and work on these machines a lot, and its cool to see you get one. You're going to be able to do a lot of cool nonsense with it haha. Be sure to have some extra lower printhead feed tubes on hand; they're the number one part we have to swap. They only cost a few bucks, though, so it isn't a big deal.
That’s good to know! It’s an older gen 1 with a sinter 1, but I got it at a pretty good price so I don’t mind upgrading to a sinter 2 down the road. That’s good to know on the lower print nozzle tube parts, I’ll order some spares. Thanks!
I knew about the metal 3D printing already, but carbon fiber ! I would want a CF 3D printer to just to waist lots of valuable time and money printing little cars I made in 2-3 hours time on car software.
I wish you were my neighbor you wouldn't get rid of me. 🤪
Wow, where are you getting the finances for these cool projects? Do you have a "day job"?
Wow, those are some seriously pricey machines. Will you run a print business on the side to finance those investments? Looking forward to see you using them!
That’s the plan, it’s not just for the channel. Figured it would be a good opportunity for both.
@@WesleyKagan nice, that's a good idea. We have one stainless printer at work which they use for printing industrial spare parts instead of having the shelf full of parts that are rarely used. Sadly it isn't the place for private stuff, it would be nice to make a turbine housing or turbo manifold to fit my old porsche 924 turbo :)
So was the guy in the Veritasium channel stealing your mechanical computer?
How do you afford your rock and roll lifestyle?
I've been looking for someone to print turbo wheels and compressors for drone turbine engines.....interested?
As soon as I get the printer set up, Absolutely. I'm going to have an entire website dedicated to the printing side.
Are you full time CZcams now? With the upgrade I’m excited for your future projects!
I wouldn't say full time. I have a lot going on in the background. The printing side is going to take some time as well. Thanks!
I thought the title said "jugular disassembly" oops lol
>casually buys 100k 3d metal printer
my guess is that youtube does pay in order to get these printers lol
Hah, less than that but I'm not going to be printing just youtube stuff.
1: Thanks for the update.
2: does Elon Musk know you exist? If not, would you like to fiddle with rockets, maybe?
3: is the government paying you? cause: why buy one printer, if you can have two for double the price! (see Contact the movie).
4: holy schitt. looking forward to more shenanigans!
Hah, I doubt he does. I’m pretty niche. But I’d love to do some rocket work or do some mechanical work on space stuff.
@@WesleyKagan I might think, that if you just send an application and include a link to the vid where you build the software-controlled valves, they could be interested. Replacing half the control-system of something so madly complicated as a frickin combustion-engine. I think that is quite a master-piece. :)

What does loving British cars mean? I'm sure, that any amount of time spent with them makes this impossible, how wrong am I?
You meant British car as a table, not car as mode of transportation, nwm D:
