I loved this video so much, you have no idea how much I appreciate it. I’m currently working on writing a novel and one of my characters is Afro-Latina, Dominicana to be specific & I wanted to make sure my Spanish was authentic as possible! This truly helps in many ways you could imagine. Please do more videos like this, I’m actually headed over to watch part 2 after leaving this comment. ❤❤
Lastly, CHASE ! 😒😂 don’t tell Melo that her Spanish isn’t “real” Spanish because it isn’t taught in a classroom. The same thing is said about us Black Americans, that we speak “broken” English when really it’s just colloquialism that we use to communicate with one another that’s part of the same culture. The same applies here to Spanish cultures. But I’m digressing because Melo kindly educated you in the video. Just wanted to throw in my two cents with love 😂😂

Que lo que I learned from a Puerto Rican. Their whole sentence is "Que lo que hay." I learned that like 3 years ago, so like AAVE, I'm sure it probably changed again. Dominicans and Puerto Ricans added mad flavor to Spanish.
