By luck saw your first Karl Pilkington reaction video pop up and now ive watched it all again through your videos. Man,you have no idea how much it means to me watching someone finishing this series. These three chaps helped me through some tough times. IF you ever think of modern British humor (ignoring Monty Python, and all of that), I reckon this is the pinnacle of it. Not a single moment wasted. Pure brilliance.
When you start the XFM stuff, just be aware that the first few episodes of season 1 don't have as much Karl as they are literally discovering him. He was just the producer and never meant to be part of the show, but the more they talked to him the more they realised they hit gold
@@e.a6851 even the 2nd half of season one is still good. Lots of classic moments. I'd say the first 5-7 episodes are a bit meh, but it really starts picking up after that.
Karl did several segments in which he interviewed a naturalist about whether a particular animal was necessary, or whether it could be got rid of. He stopped because he was frustrated that not a single scientist agreed that it was okay to extinguish any species at all.
The best thing with this show is that, you can watch them over and over. Not to do a reaction but just when you're bored. I honestly think I've watched every episode of it about 15 times and I still love just putting them on to keep me entertained. It's a really homely show, just three funny guys talking shit and telling stories.
The series you were thinking of is Sick of It, Karl wrote it too - British comedies are usually written by one or two people and often they’re in it too, very different to the US studio-driven writers’ room approach - they’re often the labour of love of one or two people

i really reccomend "sick of it" its a solo (but kinda double) karl show, scripted about a guy whos just sick of it and karl plays the main character, but at the same time plays a physcial representation of his inner monologue. I watched it all in one night and really enjoyed it (depspite accidently watching all the episodes backwards lol, was slightly confused at times because of it) But yeah, overall really worth a watch

I can never find the longer version of the ant story. I seem to remember Ricky absolutely dying laughing after Karl said the ant was devastated. Not sure if it was from the full podcast or if he told the same story somewhere else.

The show you’re thinking of is ‘Sick of it’. I’ve only seen a fee clips but it seems to be just Karl with his inner thoughts being another Karl that he speaks to set in a series format.
He’s still discovering our comedy shows - loved his reaction to Bottom as it’s a fave of mine, and hope he does more Only Fools, as well as Peep Show and more Lee Evans. And that’s just for starters!

Josh you should react to some ad-hoc episodes these 3 done such as Ricky Gervais Show Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Then they done shows like a special NME one-off test broadcast as well as a BBC Radio 2 2-part Christmas special - you have the best content and even though I've heard everything you have a funny laugh so makes it funnier hearing all of it again
The beauty of this show is you'll always come back to it and it will never get old
