The long awaited Nintendo Direct is here, and with it we get a glims into what we will get in case of gaming for the year 2022. In the February issue we got a new Gameplay Trailer for the game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. This is already the best wave and it's not even playable yet. Rome Avanti and Madrid Drive being 2 of the best cities, Piranha Plant Cove and Daisy Circuit being simple but fun tracks, great, underrated glowups like Rosalina's Iceworld and Bowser's Castle 3, and of course the massive fan favorites being DK Mountain and Wii Rainbow Road. Since wave 5 dropped so many people were saying how this could be a lame finale and how it'll be worse than previous waves, oh how wrong they were.

Because wave 5 was disappointing in many ways, it came very early, at the beginning of summer so they could barely polish the graphics of the circuits, they completely killed Los Angeles and Sunset wilds, and they didn't add anything new apart from the three characters and the new circuit, something like the mii suits from this wave or the item choice from wave 3

Rainbow road is my fave in all of the Mario kart games so to see the one from probably one of my first Mario karts that I got in to Mario kart Wii

In terms of color, it lost its charm and the track is easier (barriers), it is not really incredible.
@@canardveinarddon’t think it’s fair to judge it’s difficulty yet. Yes there are more barriers but need to see how the driving feels on it in 8d, especially with anti grav

They held absolutely nothing back with this wave. It's the best of all the waves by far.

I gotta say, this track selection isn't too shabby. I think this might be the best wave of this entire Booster Course Pass, in my opinion.
That's right. Some of the previous tracks didn't look great in the trailer, but were surprisingly fun when played.

Nintendo didn't really have the time to recreate a suit for Peachette. In my opinion Peachette looks very good because they simply shortened the dress and gave Peachette a skirt. Pauline's biker suit was more important to Nintendo, I love how great it looked on Pauline, unlike the other biker girls and no gloves fi

For the one that think it's weird that pauline funky and diddy are on the last line may i remind you they are originaly donkey kong characters so it makes sense
Ranking all tracks by visuals/graphics:
Rome Avanti: 10/10. Perfect. All the textures look so absolutely realistic.
DK Mountain: 9/10: Definitely the closest one to its Tour counterpart. I love alot of the models and textures like the trees and the iconic angry volcano.
Daisy Circuit: 8/10: Not as strong as the others, but still an amazing overhaul.
Piranha Plant Cove: 10/10. Looks like something from Smash Bros. Ultimate. I love it.
Madrid Drive: 7/10. Reminds me of Athens Dash graphics, in that there's a mix of great textures, and ones that need polishing (namely the untextured water) Still looks solid, but the weakest one.
Rosalina's Ice World: 9/10. Looks like a base game track. It's great, but not as great as the others.
Bowser Castle 3: 10/10. Holy sh*t. They REALLY knocked this one out of the park. Easily the best one, I'd even go as far to say that this looks even better than the base game Bowser's Castle.
Wii Rainbow Road: 10/10. It goes without saying.

Yo le doy un 8 a Madrid , porque tenga una mala textura en el agua no se le puede poner en el último puesto , lo demas tiene una muy buena textura , en la plaza mayor y en el estadio con el césped me sorprendió demasiado
I hope that this is finally the end of Mario kart 8, it’s been a fantastic 9 years playing this game and I’m grateful for the booster course pass since we weren’t going to get a new game but I’m ready to move on and this is a great send off
Nintendo then proceeds to port this game to the next console while also developing Mario kart 9

Rosalina’s ice world was probably one of my top favorite nitro tracks for Mario kart seven I had so many fun nostalgic memories playing the course .

I can’t wait to try the Spiny cup where they have Madrid drive from Mario Kart tour, Rosalina’s ice world from 3DS, Bowser Castle 3 from Super-NES, & Rainbow Road from Wii.
I'm looking forward to this wave I'm happy with the courses looking forward to racing on Rosalinas ice World never played it on 3DS.

After 22 years, AKA 7 MarioKart games, we finally got a SNES Bowser Castle instead of a GBA Bowser Castle.

I’m so beyond excited to have rainbow road from the Wii and Daisy circuit back. Those are my top two tracks in the series! Now I have all of my top 5!

So much for having Inkling Boy and the female villager as a CPU. Could they apply all skins for multiple CPUs from there?
Well, back in Wii U was posible, only Yoshis and Shy Guys are the only characters with alts that were not racing in the same time. The only problem is Link's alts since Wave 4 is not posible with the 2 at the same race.

There isn't a rule that grouped characters cannot appear as CPUs together. Prior to the previous update, both Links could appear as CPUs, sometimes at the same time. Considering the Inklings and Villagers are different characters, I don't see any changes being made to stop the different-gender characters from appearing together as CPUs in offline races together.

Does the Original version of Rosalina's Ice World have the Coment Observatory and two planets from Super Mario Galaxy as well? The course is for Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS, right? If that really is the case, and the Comet Observatory and those two planets, one of which is the very first one you properly learn the controls in at the start of the game, the other I wasn't able to make out or remember what it was, but either way, if that turns out to be the case, then that makes Rosalina's Ice World and Rosalina herself -not gonna mention baby Rosalina- double the amount of Super Mario Galaxy references, but what'd make it even better, would be if the Luma that's with her in Mario Kart Wii was the Luma seen next to her in Super Mario Galaxy, the one you also see in every gateway in the game.
That would've been cool and added yet another direct reference, but I also like the one that is with her, considering we also learn her backstory in the game. If I recall correctly, and please do correct me if I'm wrong about it, but from what I recall, the Luma seen in Rosalina's backstory, was either skin tone colored, yellow or dark brown. I don't recall the color, but I have a feeling it was one of the former two, either skin tone colored so it matches Rosalina's skin tone or yellow like her hair. I honestly don't know.

Edit: at least, it looks like you can’t take the cut quite as soon as you can in Wii… looks like you might have to go a bit further around and then hop over it, potentially needing even a mushroom, but who knows. Would suck for this to be the case but it would suck even more if no cut in general was allowed so if we get any variant of it I’ll be satisfied
Yeah I noticed that too and same thing happened to BC3 in your the fence floor wasn’t blocked off but now it is so I think you gotta try and take the cut from the concrete part of the track
That has BEEN bothering me... Literally been scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else mentioned it.
It looks like the gap cut has been removed entirely, the way the track is laid out, there needs to be a pit around that bend for the boulders to fall into, by the time you drive around the bend, that pit is too big to jump over

Se que le estan dando mucho amor incluyendo tantas pistas y personajes. Pero lo tengo desde que salio en Wii U y la versión de switch con el dlc pero no me dan ganas de jugarlo, quiero un nuevo Mario Kart con diferentes sonidos, animaciones, mecanicas, vehiculos, etc. Algo fresco, llevo mucho esperando un juego nuevo 😢

Rome Avanti: 10/10. It's so jaunty and classy and I love it.
DK Mountain: 9/10. Good remix, definitely better than the original. Just hope there's a saxophone or trumpet in it.
Daisy Circuit: 9.5/10. A very lighthearted, catchy tune. I like it a lot.
Piranha Plant Cove: 7/10. Slightly disappointing, sounds way too similar to the Tour version. It's not bad, just could've been a lot more.
Madrid Drive: 9.5/10. I like how they used a lot more instruments like guitars, those clap-sounding things, and a lovely violin. Definitely carries the slightly underwhelming visuals.
Rosalina's Ice World: 10/10. Never heard of this one before but it still sounds nostalgic, ethereal, bittersweet, calm, and overall an *out of this world* remix!
Bowser Castle 3: 10/10. Jesus Christ. Not only did they perfect the visuals, but god damn the music slaps.
Wii Rainbow Road: 10/10. I know, a cliche pick. But there's a reason it's a cliche.

They should have swapped daisy circuit for (Airship fortress or wuhu mountain loop). Daisy circuit looks boring.
I also think that they should have kept the original wii rainbow road soundtrack or tweeked it slightly as it sounds better in my opinion.
Lastly they should have given us more uncommon or rare characters instead of different versions of the ones we already have.

@@unl3ash3d95 But to be fair, Daisy Cruiser has a set, unique theme and aspects of the course that fit that category such as a pool and a ‘short’-cut into another lower part of the ship. Baby Park is also an oval, but it has a unique style and setting.
