Everything old is NEW again! Laurel, your videos are NEVER boring!!
Love these backgrounds. The "bright in your face ones" are perfect for cutting out flowers, etc for other cards. Not much for the pink muted ones. What a great activity for you and your kids are just for a rainy day to bring your mood up.
How fun!!! Love your sense of humor!! I’m glad you don’t edit out the parts that are less than perfect. I appreciate honesty in crafting! 😊 Thank you for sharing!
I tried this years ago and my stamping buddies and I laughed so hard, it’s a story that will live forever! I’m glad I’m not the only one who has fun making a mess!
I love printing with shaving cream. I use a shallow baking sheet or a fingerprint tray. Once I have my pattern done I cover the tray with bridal tulle and am usually able to get four prints before I need to add more ink. Cheesecloth and nylon netting also work well for holding the pattern in the tray and give the print an additional layer of patterning.
Try using a large glass dish and pull off the shaving cream on one end of it and then wipe residue off with paper towel. Also, I use a whole piece of cardstock so that I get 4 cards or more with one pull.when it gets muddy,I add new ink or dye in the same color family and pull again.Eventually ,you will just get an all over color without much of a design, but what a cool way to get color ed cardstock.
I have used shaving cream for backgrounds before. It is a lot of fun. I also dye Easter eggs this way too! Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love your energy**Too fun**Thanks for the share
Did this technique years ago and loved it. Bought a can last year and forgot all about it. It’s so much fun and you get some neat results.
I’ve done this technique before and I love it! I love the embossing folder technique!
I remember this technique from a long time ago. I love it when old techniques become new again. These turned out great!
You made this much easier than shaving cream videos I’ve seen before!! Awesome!!!
I'm so glad!
I didn't have shaving foam or reinkers, so I used hair mousse and alcohol inks. Worked the same!!👍
Hola!!! Cuanto tiempo lo dejaste secar? Muchísimas gracias ☺️
Haven't seen this technique in years. So much fun! Thanks for reminding us that we can play and create.
Hi Laurel! This shaving cream technique IS so much fun ... and u are sooooo right - it's messy! I just love ur energy. Blessed crafting! 😊
I love how you used the shaving cream! Last time I used shaving cream, I got nowhere near adventurous! You inspire me!
I have done this often for papers I use in making art journals. These are lovely
I've done this and it's fun. The results are so different each time. Such fun!
i’ve been meaning to try this technique again and your video reminded me how fun it is with great results!🤩thanks for sharing❣️
I used acrylic paint because that’s all i had on hand. My 3 year old and I had a lot of messy fun 🥰 thanks for the idea!!
What great cards. Definitely going to try this. Looks messy…and fun. I love the way the colors come through once you scrape off the shaving cream.
I’ve done this several times with my grand kids. Thanks for some new ideas. Never thought of using embossing folders.
I'm going to have to try this. I've seen it demonstrated several times over the past couple of times and it always looks like such fun and the results are cool and different!
Hello beautiful how are you doing?
Yes shaving cream is a great technique! So fun, my grandkids love it!
Oh yes, Guess your grandkids are grown up I wish them good luck
Never thought of using an acrylic blockor the embossing folder. It's always so amazing when you pull off the shaving cream how usually bright and deep the colors are - bad grammar but hey. Suddenly have urge for whip cream (not cool whip). Time for a coffee run. Thanks for the inspiration
We used to do this years ago and we used acrylic paints, they work great. You made some cool backgrounds enjoyed watching🐰
You can also use food coloring for your drops of color! Be sure to use the cheap liquid food coloring, not the gel type! I like the stencil idea and will try that soon! I found coconut scented shaving cream at Dollar Tree that is a pleasure to work with, since I love coconut.
Wow!!! Awesome cards, going to pick up some shaving cream...thanks for the awesome inspiration!!!!
I recently tried this. It was so much fun! Love your cards!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video..you always make me smile. 😊👍 I gotta try this. Have seen it before but never did it.
Purposely bought shaving cream months ago to try this out, but still haven’t. I must give it a try, looks great fun with lovely, unusual effects.
I love this technique, Laurel! Adding salt to the cream was something new. Awesome cards!
Hi pretty how are you doing?
love the shaving cream background and I love the feel of the cardstock after your remove the cream from it. I showed my neighbor how to do this and she loved it. I found a can of unscented shaving cream at the drug store and it was on sale! I am so full of ideas now what will I do with ll those cards. Try using stencil on top and the design come out really great. Have fun
Very cool! Love the cards you made from this "mess" lol Great tip Laurel. Thanks for sharing! 💜
I did the shaving cream backgrounds about a year ago (I had a bunch!) and I have used them all. I need to do it again. Thanks for the reminder.
Great backgrounds and cards! I haven't tried shaving cream for cards yet, but I have used Cool Whip for Easter eggs.
I’ve done this for years with my cards, Girl Scouts and class using food coloring and inks. The results are just beautiful. I’ve also used it in Yupo paper but have not tried it with embossing folders!!! Love it!! 🤗
Wonderful!
like the colors. I thought I needed more shaving cream then I do. inspiring also
been in a slump recently, totally inspired - thank you!
I haven’t done this in ages!!! It is fun! Great cards!!!
Wooden skewers work really well to mix the paints with the shaving cream. They are long and thin. Love the results. Did shaving cream cards before for marbling technique but love your new method. Will give it a try!
YES!!!!!!!
Wow! I love this technique! Messy but definitely fun... you got some great background from this. TFS
wow unbbelievale years ago i didthis with water base acrylic i had beautiful designs but cleaned off the excess with a sqeegy and a new surprise deign came up
Love it. I Have seen several renditions of the demo but I think you're will be the easiest and easiest to clean up. I was very surprised how dark the afters were. Hmmm, think I'll do this at my next ladies day.
Sounds fun! The cards do smell good!
I love your personality & creativity
Color match looks good. One I'm using us too dry.
Love this technique! 😍
Thanks for sharing!! I had forgot about this!!
Love this fun and messy technique! How much fun it would be to do with a little one and help them make a mother's day card!
I'm actually VERY interested in learning more about the makeup. I'm in the process of looking for a job and I am going to be wanting good, simple makeup routine.

I love the shaving cream technique. It’s addictive.
Hello pretty how are you doing with your family?
Nice effects, you have made great use of them.❤
Lol. Funny I did so much with shaving cream with my kids when they were young
How fun! These backgrounds are gorgeous! Onr thing-- you dont want the type of shaving cream that is gel. To you Mom's out there-- you can spray shaving cream on your counters and let your children finger paint in it! (Just shaving cream--no ink!) It leaves your kitchen sparkly clean and smelling good! You can also do this with whipped cream...messier though.
So awesome 🤩 thanks for sharing your work 🙏🏻
this just looked like a load of fun 😁
Very cool! Thanks!
And I’m interested in the makeup. I’m always interested in something new.

I haven't played with shaving cream in a long time. I never used a block, shelf liner, or embossing folders. So much fun!!!! I used liquid watercolors.
You are so much fun....try this.....after adding the ink to the shaving cream....swirl it with a fork....smashing pattern....love Jane North Wales UK......x
I just love what you do!!!

@@LaurelBeard thanks
You can also use alcohol ink instead of ink refills and it turns out great!
great tip!
You are so amazing!
I missed you! And also colormatch!
Did this years ago!
Awesome technique. And COLOR MATCH please.

OMG LAURA LOL SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! You with that Shaving Cream on your face cracked me up and I needed that so much. Lol I loved this technique so much that 2 years ago I went out & bout 4 cans, lol "4 CANS" lol of Shaving Cream. OMG and I still haven't done it SMH 😫 after getting covid it slowed me down alot as it took me along time to get over it & all the flare-ups that comes with covid. But I am definitely going to get on that now that I seen all of your amazing Phenomenal backgrounds & cards ♥ I Love every single one of them! TY Laura for sharing your video with us ❤😊❣Sending Love, Hugs and tons of Smiles 😃 🤗 💖 XOXO Vicki from the State of Utah 🍯🐝
HAHAH, now you have loads of shaving cream ready to use!!! Hope you feel better!!!!!!
Good ideas x
Oh, I heard about that technique fire coloring easter eggs. The cream looked pretty, but the color on the eggs was so pale! It just didn't transfer well. I think i used food coloring. 🤔
Love the backgrounds!! How long did you leave it on after you dipped them. Use to do this with the students at school. They ALWAYS had fun. Thank you.
maybe 10 minutes or so!
I'm interested in color match.
Good video. I did rhis weeks ago, before your video, but mine did not turn out well because I used alcohol ink & glossy photo paper.
Hi pretty how are you doing?
Emmboss them with a folder once they are dry... Bet that would look -cool- neat
Hey
Love them…maybe you could die cut flowers or butterflies instead of using them as backgrounds…thx so much for sharing!
Very cool

Nice Makeup
Thank you 😊
Hi Laurel. Does your colour match makeup ship or sell to Australia? Great mess btw... Ive done this a few times over the years, it's like letting your inner child loose!!
Oh how I wish. Just USA and Canada. :(
How long do you keep the shaving cream on before you remove it . Tks
I did them all at once so about 20 minutes. But I am sure you don't have to wait that long. Just a few minutes at most.
❤TFS!
You are so funny.
Curious if alcohol inks would also work?
Yes!
for sure
😊🌸🌸
👍✌️🙏❤️
