Good, honest review … I thank you for that. I have the same feelings about some of the songs here, but not all. I saw the tour in 2014 and it was amazing (even with Nad, tho I don’t find him as offensive to the material as you obviously do). The last time I saw Hackett was in 1975 with the Lamb tour so I was primed to hear Genesis again and was very happy with the vibe, the crowd, and the material presented. I realize it’s hard to see your rock heroes age and have to adjust to the rigors of touring in the present time … the ‘75 Genesis will never tour again so this was an acceptable attempt. I do listen to this and I do enjoy most of it, keeping in mind and enjoying the expanded guitar sections as another legitimate interpretation. You can’t go home again, but you can look up the address 🙂
