    Great information.. I would like to know how old you are and when you started running. Do you have to be fat adapted already or will this get you fat adapted? I listen in 2x speed and the subtitle help a lot. Thanks.. I'll be a new 60+ y/o subscriber.

      Hi there. Thanks for dropping in. I’m 53 and started running at 50 (Started Feb. 2021 from the couch). Fat adaptation is a bit of a broad understanding. You’ll become more efficient burning fat as fuel as you train at those recommended intensities & time for sessions. Seasoned marathoners and ultra runners have greater utilisation because of the big and regular easy miles they run, for example. Us mere mortals can utilise the same fuel switch to increase fat oxidisation at any point. Just not to the extent they do. Just got to be smart & healthy to have the necessary glycogen stores for the appropriate sessions. Hope this helps. Happy running! Would like to hear about your running journey.
