Nailing the TF40 315 16*19 discription to perfection!

thanks :) i think this format is cool because it allows to share the perspective of a person that is actually thinking about the switch rather than just for the sake of review.

My journey to land on the perfect TF40 315 16*19: Moved from very power oriented racquet (hard time speeding up my swing) to Pro Staff 97 (incredible feel but sweet spot too small) to Head Speed MP (enjoyed the free power, but launched too many shots and racquet felt light) to TF40. The feel is incredible. I can speed up my swing and still control the ball. Opponents comment that my shot is heavy. Serve like a dream whether kick, slice or flat. Keep the wrist loose and you will be rewarded.

What are your top 3 racquets? TF40 315 is indeed perfect in feel and control. I would appreciate more stability and power on serves

I demoed the TF40 315 and absolutely loved in, especially on serve. With how head light and control oriented it was, I was serving the absolute best in my life. I could bomb serves and place them anywhere. You can generate massive head speed.
But I ended up not going with it after demo-ing it all. The problem was that I felt the head was not stable against heavy hitters and mishits. I could feel the racket twist in my hands.
Looking back, I might go back to the TF40 but as others say, it’s a platform. You have to add weight and I’d probably add more to the head to help with stability. But I really liked the head light feel so I’d probably counter with some weight in the handle too to maintain that balance.

ye, i tried this setup. problem is that with the added mass to the handle the stability decreases as well. So I ended up really quick with 360g racquet. IMO the best is to add small and crucial amounts of mass to the head. make the frame slightly more stable without crossing the line of preference for fast feel. the SW of the tf40 315 will probably stay low after such mod and small shift in balance wont affect the maneuverability imo. Love it that way the most.

Good intel. Thanks. I noticed your tournament bracket of racquets at 7:30 lacks a challenger for the Whiteout. May I suggest the Prestige Tour 2023? With a 22mm box beam and unstring specs of 315g, 31.5cm, 300sw, it’s right in your wheelhouse. Consider too the 2021 version; with virtually identical specs but for a 65 vs. 62 RA, it’s currently on sale around Europe.

Recently switched to TF40 305 16x19. Beautiful frame but needs a solid SW, around 325-330 to unlock the potential. I use it with two overgrips and 6 g at 3/9 right now!! ,)

If they keep the level or even increase i am pretty sure we will see more TF40 around soon :) its a really great frame but quite demanding for sure. Kinda like blade or old radical MP.

@@dandan.tennisI think the new versions come out next year. They have a 3 year cycle from what I've heard...

@@hybrid11theory75 what i've heard behind the scene is later this year. Tecnifibre needs to work on releases I think. Tfight line was all over the place with 305, 315 and maybe 300? i dont remember. but now with Swiatek changing from Tempo to ISO 300 this could be even more messed up xd
