It tricks mines, ship without pd would be spammed with mines instantly, with even minimum pd ai uses mines sparingly waiting for ship to overload/vent/have pd disabled and only then starts spamming allowing for easy approach. Once you are close it wont attack you with mines, but without pd you wouldnt get close

Honestly didnt count, but with basic probing, practice rounds against battlestation and proper tries + one succesful try but broken recording it would be sth around 60. Now i could do it in like 1/10 attempts though
I picture that scene from the mandalorian where the crew is trapped on the station and a lone x wing approaches "one x wing, we are saved " ... then cut to this at 2x speed with Benny hill music ... then cut to death star explosion.

@@Kuba_K And Afflictor if you build them properly, yeah, everything has a weak spot sort of speak, but LT Stations have the most fire coverage, and armor of them all. Not even to mention if you know how to arm them (talking about them Missiles) you can make a LT Station anti anything. Too much phase/kite ships? breachers and gorgons, too many cruisers/capitals? hammers, reapers and harpoons. Shield too strong? Sabots. Trust me, try kitting a Station with 14 gorgon missiles. (I'm extremely bias, and I don't care)
Oh, and almost forgot, even tho It may not arm all of them, there is a chance for it to have at least 4 Dragonfire missiles, yeah... Good luck with that.
Personally, use an onslaught with a full pd load + 4 reaper launchers for dealing with stations and for literally anything for time saving purposes, but what u are doing is impressive!
Why is the mining laser important? It's not even on autofire. Does it trick the enemy fighters or missiles?
