Dual Longplay of Virtua Fighter 3tb (Dreamcast vs Dreamcast) Comparison

  • Regional Differences/ A Dual Longplay (side by side) between the japanese version and the american version of Virtua Fighter 3 for Sega Dreamcast. The Virtua Fighter 3 was one of the launch titles for the Dreamcast in Japan, but it had numerous flaws that were corrected or mitigated in the American version, which was released almost a year later. However, Virtua Fighter 3 was a port of a 1996 arcade game and appeared dated compared to other games being released for the Dreamcast, such as Soulcalibur and Dead or Alive 2... or other games on other systems like Tekken Tag Tournament on PlayStation 2, which was released alongside the launch of the PlayStation 2.

Even being compared to much newer games VF3 played and looked amazing on the DC... and it still does!
The main issue was that just the "tb" wasn't enough to justify this late port, it really needed extra modes and maybe chars... It was a lazy effort.
It's still my favorite VF bc Inlove the gorgeous uneven backgrounds and as a kid I used to be amazed be the ringouts. The arcade was huge and I used to play every tine that I was at the local mall.

This was the only main series Virtua Fighter game I never played. I didn't see it a lot in Arcades. As for the Dreamcast version, it came and went. I didn't know anyone who had it. It was all Soul Calibur. I mean those animations look stunning, very smooth. However the character models look not good. Especially Jeffery and Wolf's models. Their muscles look kind of blocky. When Jeffery flexes during his victory it looks like his arms are disconnected from his body. Also that bicep flex is off putting.

@@emmastarr5242 *Soul Blade (1995). Soul Caliber came later in 1998 to consoles and was using PS1 hardware for the arcade version, which of course looked noticeably worse than Virtua Fighter 3 arcade graphics wise
It's when Soul Calibur for the port to the Dreamcast is when it got a complete overhaul and then looked on par if not arguably better than VF3.
The same thing happened with Tekken Tag Tournament. Initially it's arcade version ran on PS1 tech but then it got a massive overhaul for its PS2 port later.

kinect and move were a big scam and a failed attempt to "copy" the success misunderstood by microsft and sony about nintendo, it has no flaws, as you try to say in the video, nintendo wii is still a tremendous console, to say that it has flaws, is not knowing the console, it was designed for a market that is very different from that of the other competitors, therefore, there is no point of comparison and even less trying to say that it has defects, that if they did, they were kinect and move, accessories that barely They had launches, and they were little exploited, making it clear that they were made only to take advantage of the success of Wii, and the sales that it had.
