As an infectious disease epidemiologist, I am delighted to hear about the study of the US NEWS Hospitals. I supported the strict policies at the time out of an excess of caution in the absence of evidence. I now realize the folly of this. We were wrong.
I person who is able to admit faults/errors in the public eye is one of integrity.
Prassad is the man!
A legitimate clinician and researcher in his own right-- among the leaders in his field --he is also one of the best popularizers of health Science online, who expresses original ideas and arguments in a very clear and persuasive manner.
He is one of the few science popularizers who can get into the weeds while still presenting his material in a manner that is understandable to the layperson.
Great speech. I've been saying these same things since early 2020. These medical administrators pulled much of these policies straight from their arse.
I am picturing Vinay's face when he was eight and his English teacher told him his essay had to be 300 words only.
This is a rehashed talk his given numerous times . Doesn’t make it any less quality

haha! in talking, he's able to crunch the words faster together, harder to do in writing! It took me a while, but I've come to greatly enjoy his speed and am now totally irritated by slow talkers!

Speaking the truth. I genuinely admire both your ethics and your perseverance. We need more brave people like you to force the difficult scientific questions into public dialog with politics free objective and rigorous scientific studies. The next pandemic will happen and we cannot make the same mistakes.
It's challenging for the medical industry to behave ethically in the face of so much annual revenue from treatments devised to suppress symptoms without addressing root cause. We understand that hospitals are for-profit businesses, and nobody faults them for trying to make a buck. An honest buck is preferred, but we understand that the need for $ generation is your primary responsibility to your employers. I think what infuriates people the most is when hospitals and medical personnel are portrayed as humanitarians and beyond reproach. Please, just do your diagnosis, push whatever pill is being sponsored that month, throw in some unnecessary exploratory surgeries if you have to, but do it as the business people you are.
Its refreshing to see a medical professional like Vinay remind others in the industry to try and retain some form of ethical backbone in their profession. So few in the industry today demonstrate ethical behavior. Remember: The number one cause of death in American hospitals today is medical malpractice. Look it up if you want your heart broken, and eyes opened.

Dr Prasad, your lectures are fantastic. I've seen so many now, I understand most of your argumentation and apply them in my real life discussions. But what I'd like to see more from you are DEBATES!
You're probably not a fan of these, because you never really mention them, but your colleague Tracy Beth Hoeg participated in a debate hosted by Jay Bhattycharia and Rav Aurora, alongside Kevin Bass.
The debate with Rancourt was terrible, because he was undisciplined and impolite and took up 80% of the air to basically say nothing. Tracy did a good job rebutting him, but I reckon it was not a good experience for her as he was quite rude, directly to her, many times. However, probably a good learning curve for her too on how to deal with creeps like him.
When it comes to face diapers, I'd very much like to see you debate a Covidian pusher of face diapers. Jay hasn't spoken much about masking, as the others of the Great Barrington Declaration.
Please talk with Tracy Beth Hoeg and see if you guys can push Jay and Aurora to hold a masking debate!

I would like to see Vanay address, not the CLAIMS of Steve Kirsch, but the DATA and graphs behind the claims of Steve K. Like, using the New Zealand data. Steve keeps talking about how the slope should go down, but it goes up, and that NEVER happens from anything "safe". Vanay is a much better teacher and explainer. Would love to see him explain it for us. (and vet to the extent possible).

Anything can be justified for those doing the justification - have a look at history. Remove money, power, fame and influence et voila!

Was there a moral or ethical argument to compel anyone to get vaccinated? Does one's right to choose to not participate in human experimentation (potentially exposing oneself to irrevocable harm) supersede one's neighbour’s right to feel more secure? Getting vaccinated is considered an Imperfect Directive (a type of Categorical Imperative) as per Emmanuel Kant (the father of Deontology); that is commendable if done but not blameworthy if not done. Given that the ethics of positive obligations are never considered prima facie, has anyone yet claimed that we are in possession of all relevant information and that there is nothing left new to learn (and thus are able to make a compelling case for imposing Positive Rights)?

I used to work for the government. Now I don't. I decided that I will no longer be lectured by people who's definition of ethics is "doing what you told".
Vinay, have you seen cases of COVID-19 Vaccine Shedding? Why are there no studies? Why is discussion of this topic censored so heavily?
