- This 45Nrth Dillinger 5 Fatbike tire is a pretty sweet piece of kit. It is studded with 258 Steel studs and uses a durable and affordable 60tpi casing. The tire offers great side knobs for turning in the snow, a near paddle-like tread design to keep the forward momentum going.

Awesome, have fun!
Welcome to James the Bike Guy where nothing sucks and all the reviews are honest.
Welcome to a channel that does not perform feature reviews on poor quality products. Oh and a $160 studded tire is often hard to complain about anyway...
Great review.
Thanks!
Will these work OK on muddy trails ? [minus the studs I mean]
One thing I've experienced with studded tires before(on my 29-er), was that the studs got pulled off, this were from Scwalbe. If I rode in condtions that were between icy and not icy; For example if the tires got locked up braking over a rock that wasnt covered with ice/snow. After a few rides, 1/3 of the studs were missing!... Do you know if these are more durable? I'm asking as a pair of these cost me 400-500 usd here in Norway, and its not snowy/icy yet. Often in the winter... Its kinda icy some places, and other places its bare ground. The ride I had today was a bit sketchy as to the conditions described, suddenly i would lose control going uphill or downhill. Do you recommend studded fatbike tires in conditions i'm riding in? Sorry for such a long a$$ comment, thx for the review!.
Do these kind of studded tires work on hardened snow or ice? Also do you know if this kind of tires will work below -30C?
Hardened snow and ice for sure. That's where they shine! At -30C they will not work tubeless, but if you run tubes inside they will work fine.
@@Jamesthebikeguy Why wouldn't they work tubeless?
@@gregeckhardt5338 they will, use Orange Seal Sub Zero or even Stans is good for -20F.
This isn't a review...you just talked about it🤦🏿♂️
What is a review? Do you not talk about the thing you are reviewing
You really did not impress me by holding a glob of rubber in your hand. What about putting it on a wheel, and pumping it up? Or showing some riding action on iceS?
Useless info? I’d expect a review to actually evaluate how well the product works, versus rehashing all the info available from the manufacturer.
If you are buying studded fat bike tires you don't care about weight.
Lol, not sure that's true for everyone
