That kid's reaction is the best, I remember when I was his age watching the 1st pokemon movie and feeling the same way. I'd imagine if I got this trailer back then I'd probably lose it even worse than that haha
If I saw this trailer back in the day I think I'd just straight up die from excitement.

Same here. I was initially thinking "holy moly he's getting excited, maybe calm down a little?" and then I thought "you know what? that's awesome, get excited!" and even though I'm an adult now I realize I actually still feel the same way as him. You never completely grow out of being a kid and that's a good thing!

It's nice to see kids reaction to this. I was wondering what they would think about Detective Pikachu.
The way they designed Pikachu is probably gonna be the same design for Sonic in his movie next year on November.
And imo, they also caught Mr.Mimey's creepiness without overdoing it.
But more of a disappointment and disgrace
Except Sonic doesn't look like himself...they MESSED UP THE MAIN CHARACTER

Imagine, this is the start! The start of more Pokemon movies, and maybe more game adaptations. If this movie is as good as it seems, we may have a new era of movies in the near future! xD

Is based on the game detective pikachu, this movie is like that game with those characters and a deep voice talking pikachu... only tim can understand him and he is looking 4 his father... like in the game... is based on that game and nothing else
I mean there's some similarities but you can tell that the studio took some liberties within the short trailer to make it different from the game, to make it original
