In Pakistan ek or bhi trend hai which promotes male narssicism when a boy is very young parents r proud to say 'yeh tho Bohat ghussay wala hai' like in a very proud way and pump up this child which later on becomes an issue for thrm
In Pakistan it's common to breathe down your boys neck all the time.give them a rough childhood so they strong for the world 😂. But ultimately it makes it difficult.

I was faced the worst situation my mother in law just lay her bed in front of my room imagine she hear all the thing about us and than just feed her son like what we are talking about then husband ko sikhna negativity itna us k dimagh mei daal di he eventually divorced me in anger tell me unka hisaab kb hoga you know my mother was also passed away or mei kisi ko bta tk nhi skti k meray sath kiya hua koi court koi adalat aesi ha jo un ka encounter kr skay bus Allah sa umeed ha k wo meray liya koi rasta nikalen Ameen suma Ameen

I am not a Indian but I don't agree with you completely that in Indian culture the in laws are a liability on the daughter in law yes it is considered that in laws are a responsibility and a little bit care for them is expected from the daughter in law but not completely a liability and also the thing you said that in Indian culture daughter in law is expected 24hr to serve in-laws and have no life of her own that is not true indian culture is not the one you see in their dramas the reality is different
