- I was passing through Yosemite National Park and got to ride my bike through some of the most Iconic spots in Yosemite. Truthfully, if you are planning to visit and want to explore around I would highly suggest bringing a bike or renting one. It is hands down the best way to see the park. There are so many beautiful hikes! The Half Dome hike is one that I would love to complete at some point in my life. Today's trip through Yosemite was a great one not only because I was able to explore the park on my bike but I also witnessed something that I always wanted too. I finally saw people climbing El Capitan! I have seen movies and documentaries or this so to see this in person was an incredible experience. If you do plan on visiting you have to make a reservation to get in. And if you plan on staying inside the park you should make reservations to a camp spot about a month in advance because it gets booked fast. Yosemite Valley is the spot to be when coming to visit and Im happy I was able to bring you all along with me!
I miss living on the road. I did it for 48 years until 5 years ago. I spent more nights in truckstops, Walmart parking lots, and rest areas, More nights than most people have been alive for. I drove a semi-truck for 25 years and then expedited freight in a cargo van for 23 years. During that time I drove over 6 million miles, seeing every corner in America. I never once got sick of driving, living out of a vehicle, or waking up in new places every morning.

yes, biking is absolutely the best way to see the valley and bike to trailheads.
also, just a little bit beyond tioga pass and down the east entrance of yosemite is the eastern sierra and you're just a short 50min drive away from Mammoth with it's trails and bike park!

That place is amazing.
You missed Fresno in the list of nearby airports. We flew into there in 1995! You approach from the south so Tunnel View is your first experience. Mind Blowing! Yes, my one Yosemite visit was nearly 30 years ago and I remember it well. Be sure to take tons of photos and video, to cherish the experience for decades.
That's amazing! I agree, the Yosemite Valley floor is so magnificent that you'll remember it vividly forever. I've also flown into the Fresno airport to go to Yosemite. I would definitely consider it a major airport and its probably the closest major airport to Yosemite.
Tunnel View is one of the worlds best WOW moments the first time you experience it.... and every time thereafter! I love Yosemite, especially in the winter. Thanks for the excellent video!

We last went during Covid with almost zero people. It was amazing without the normal crowds. Definitely the most scenic park I’ve ever been to.
Yosemite tips. If the campgrounds in the park are full, there is camping about 1/2 mile south of the south entrance off of Mt. Raymond Road. Goat Meadow parking area is great if you're in a camper or trailer, but if you are in a tent, you can pretty much camp anywhere that is convenient, as far up the road as you like. No reservations needed and its free. It is a bit of a drive to the main valley. Also, Glacier Point is a must stop for a view from the rim looking straight down into the Valley, with amazing views of Nevada, Vernal and upper Yosemite falls, as well as Half Dome and the High Sierras. The people look like ants from that vantage point.

My son is a full time climber and does El Cap and Half Dome refulartly (not that anyone cares, but he's my kid..haha). He leave in December for a year in South America/Central America and a year long climbing adventure. Keep up the good content man!

I enjoy your videos, and look forward to each episode. I do have one concern: you often drive with the shoulder strap of your seat belt behind your back. This seems dangerous; and I’ve seen other female van lifers do the same. Perhaps the belt interferes with your microphone. Again, love your content
