I could have watched this all day... I literally laughed out loud multiple times. The RED FLAGS are flying with that "all I ask is you get your nails done" ...oooof. Also, the rap was... painful and I cringed harder than I have in a long time.
A guy hit me up on a dating site and his profile said he wants a woman to have nice feet and nails and I instantly never responded. My ex was like that and I know it’s a smaller part of a larger mindset that I’d never want to be involved with again in life
My hinge audio prompt is “I get along best with people who are” and mine is a recording of Donald Trump saying “the marxists, the anarchists, the agitators, the looters, and people who, in many instances, have absolutely no idea what they are doing” then at the end I say “also people who are sleep deprived… that’s pretty much my friend group.” Best one I’ve seen so far is actually from when I matched with my first crush. The prompt she used was “my most controversial opinion is.” Her response was “I think dogs should be able to vote. I will not be taking any comments or critiques at this time.”

I feel like the mickey mouse thing did psychic damage to me because it unearthed a memory of when I thought I could do a very convincing mickey impression in high school (I could not).
I think audio on dating apps is great because the way someone's voice sounds can be such a dealbreaker. My friend and I were talking about this, but you can be talking to someone for ages, and they are awesome, and then you hear their voice and you can't.
My very irrational fear is actually that there will be a psychic around, actively reading people's minds at the exact moment that I have an intrusive and horrible thought...because obviously there's always a psychic just invading people's brain pans all willy nilly with nothing better to do.
Well sometimes psychics are depicted as being able to hear people's thoughts even when they aren't trying to, so my version of that fear includes them not focusing on me but then hearing one of my intrusive thoughts anyway

A nuance I would add is that everyone is trying to project some positive qualities on a dating app, that's just how the "market" works there. What makes it feel like a red flag to me is the knowledge that you have multiple chances to record whatever you want, and that was the chosen take. That is what makes it clear that the intention was to project an approachable, awkward, and self aware persona, which to me is indeed a bad sign because if those are the best qualities you can think to put forward about yourself I have to wonder why. One could give the benefit of the doubt that it's just a random funny joke, but it feels more likely to be someone who has learned that "self awareness" makes a good mask for behaviors they know are unacceptable or negative.
I found a lot of these to be really funny, and on an app where everyone wants a comedian for a partner its surprising how boring, too serious and unfunny some people can be.
im sorry but a man with a proper british accent saying the phrase "blow your back out" is perhaps the fucking funniest and cringiest thing i have ever heard
As a dog owner I'd like to point out that we do understand some barks. The one that means 'somebody's at the door' sounds slightly different to 'I just saw a cat in the garden' or 'I'm excited about going walkies'
The "second mama" thing, I didn't even clock at first that it was talking about a side chick, the first thing my mind went to was like a single mother looking for someone willing to help raise her child and then the second thing was "I want you to act as a surrogate mother figure to me???" like some Christian Grey shit lmao
I thought it was just him admitting that he needs to be taken care of like a child lol. Like he needs a gf who can act like a mom because he wont do chores or cook ☠️
honestly i really just assumed it was like a single parent in general. like a "hey, i have a child and my ex is still in the picture because we're raising this kid together"
I'm so mad at myself for not thinking to screen record some of the ish I'd seen on Hinge because I've heard audio that's WAY more cringe than this stuff. One guy's audio was like... he was doing sort of a low, mumbling cartoony creep kind of voice and was saying something to the effect of "hey little kitty, come to daddy, I'm going to eat you up little girl~" and was cackling manically the whole time. I looked at the rest of his profile to see if it was a bad attempt at a joke (or maybe a very niche kink thing???) but I think he was just legitimately crazy.
11:24 the amount of McElroy material that goes viral beyond their fanbase is astounding. sometimes it feels like they’re the hidden shadow masters of meme culture
i still remember the feeling of listening to TAZ: balance, watching the entire mbmbam tv show, then stumbling upon a griffin vine comp and finally realizing he was the “i don’t understand this meme and at this point im too scared to ask” man this whole time
My spoken prompt is about how I think we as a society should acknowledge that Dr. Seuss was probs a furry but no one wants to admit it, so I can see why this is a weird app design tbh
I'm interested!! Why was he probably a furry? Maybe I'm just not cultured enough in Dr. Seuss lore :))) [no hate, nor judgement intended by this comment!]
My voice message was just me asking someone to take me on a date in the forest to look at cool bugs and I met my boyfriend through it. Surprised I wasn't murdered tbh
I like the idea of audio messages, it lets personality show in a way you couldn't over text, but I think most people would struggle to not sound stilted delivering them.
this is making me rethink my own hinge audio message, like maybe instead of using it as an opportunity to say more stuff about me i can try out my middling The Room impression
I feel like your audio clip says "ha ha, yes I'm showing that I'm funny, but also that I'm self-aware enough to not fully commit and make a fool of myself" Something I would do. Just like all the other clips, I don't think there's one best way to handle it.
If I had this dating app, my audio responses would be ethereal muttering, demonic screeching, and growling from the abyss. After all, if you don't love me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.
7:26 happened to me and they didn't tell me until we had been seeing each other for four months and I had stated I was only interested in a monogamous relationship so best of luck to their other partners & I hope they've worked on communication
@@Punkini It depends, we hadn’t defined the relationship. But yes if we were and he didn’t tell all of his partners it was. I have a friend who is poly and talks about how open their communication is so I don’t think he fully understood what that kind of relationship entailed.

Of course I understand some dog barks, my dog had the “throw the toy” bark and the “let me outside” bark and the “OH MY GOD THERES A DOG WALKING BY CODE RED” bark
Yeah pet owners usually recognize the distinct noises their pets make as general meanings! Like how my dog SNEEZES at me to tell me to take him on a walk. It’s not a bark but it’s a VERY loud sneeze.
I thought that too! I find the idea of calling your partner "mama" or "daddy" or "my girl" so creepy I think my brain refused to acknowledge the possibility it was meant in a sexual way

Now that’s unhinged
Ngl I’m a lil mad at you too for not sharing the cringe! 😂
and he thought that would appeal to women ? lol I wonder what he looked like whilst doing it
11:24 the amount of McElroy material that goes viral beyond their fanbase is astounding. sometimes it feels like they’re the hidden shadow masters of meme culture
No idea what you mean. Unrelated but I'm gonna go eat some berries and cream
i still remember the feeling of listening to TAZ: balance, watching the entire mbmbam tv show, then stumbling upon a griffin vine comp and finally realizing he was the “i don’t understand this meme and at this point im too scared to ask” man this whole time
They genuinely are
they’re my heroes. my sense of humor has been built up by them
RIGHT. They could have been fans too tho
This is the first time Jarvis saying “it’s free” didn’t sound like a scam. Very reassuring
5:55 you could say.. your biggest risk was taking that video
/j funniest video I've seen all day dude
My spoken prompt is about how I think we as a society should acknowledge that Dr. Seuss was probs a furry but no one wants to admit it, so I can see why this is a weird app design tbh
SPEAK THE TRUTH
BUT YOU'RE SO RIGHT!!!
Osamu Tezuka definitely was, as his daughter discovered after his death
I'm interested!! Why was he probably a furry? Maybe I'm just not cultured enough in Dr. Seuss lore :)))
[no hate, nor judgement intended by this comment!]
@Abbey Cat
look at his book characters. He draws like… _exclusively_ anthropomorphic animals
For the "second mama" one, I interpreted that as a mom looking for another woman that wanted to help raise her kid and being transparent about it
11:36 the one time I finally by goldfish to eat someone else is going exact same. Literally muchin as this happens
Jarvis, you sound just like Moss (Richard Ayoade) when you are doing your accent bit in appx. 4:00 :D
Jarvis is trying his best.
Indeed
I didn’t know you could put emojis in your CZcams name
An avocado thanks 👍
Sorry Jarvis, but I think this video is a bit too gold for me. I've been blinded by the light shining off of your great content. I need you to stop.
In all honesty, please don't stop. Your videos are great and you are great. Keep being great!
@@eq4742 keep be gold
@@1_FLASKFAN I couldn't have said it better myself
Time to upgrade your glasses, you need a premium prescription
4:58 It could've been funny if he did an impression of Detective Pikachu.
5:27 holy shit I haven't cried laughing so hard in a long time. Unbridled chaos
I can really see the facial expression of the "gonna have to figure that out" guy
you just know he definitely did the lip bite thing
@@erenender66 yes haha!!!
good way to weed em out 😂
eheh
@@linny516 😂
In this house, we respect Jacob and his attempt at making a “daddy” joke 🙌🏼
The most unhinged audio Ive encountered on Hinge was a girl just really into SNL she was defending SNL for her life for 30 seconds
This is what my father would call “one of those ‘good on paper’ ideas.”
POV: you’re a golden guest and Jarvis laid out the golden carpet for you
*the golden red carpet
Bold of Jarvis to wear a shirt that says “milk”
😭😭😭
What kind 🤔
Given his history...
They’re all funnier than you with your air of superiority
9:55 how dors he know what the word is....? Jarvis, do you know the rap??
Perfect excuse for using hinge: my cat walked on my keyboard and accidently signed me up for hinge, but i decided to keep it as a joke 🤷
My voice message was just me asking someone to take me on a date in the forest to look at cool bugs and I met my boyfriend through it. Surprised I wasn't murdered tbh
Exception not the rule. Ladies do not try this.
The daddy one was the same kind of humour as jarviss Australian bit
good thing about this voice feature is that you can get a decent idea of someone's personality. it's more obvious who to avoid
Those audio messages sure are unhinged, aren't they?
this made my day
👏👏👏
Onhinged lol
I feel dumb cause I don't get the joke :(
@@azul9655 the dating app is called Hinge (: you aren’t dumb!
I like the idea of audio messages, it lets personality show in a way you couldn't over text, but I think most people would struggle to not sound stilted delivering them.
6:15 “He jusssst ssssoundssss sssso exsssited about ssssloth factssss.” Haha
this is making me rethink my own hinge audio message, like maybe instead of using it as an opportunity to say more stuff about me i can try out my middling The Room impression
I feel like your audio clip says "ha ha, yes I'm showing that I'm funny, but also that I'm self-aware enough to not fully commit and make a fool of myself" Something I would do. Just like all the other clips, I don't think there's one best way to handle it.
His audio clip is more cringe any of the others he was critiquing
jarvis, you’re gold too.
Not me laughing at way too many of these as Jarvis sits there straight faced
If I had this dating app, my audio responses would be ethereal muttering, demonic screeching, and growling from the abyss. After all, if you don't love me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.
My friend showed me one where the prompt was “what is your love language..?” And he responded with “my love language is English” 🤦🏻♀️
I'm never adding an audio message. Once this update came in I started passing on matches more, because the things people feel emboldened to say...
I kinda love it cause it lets me know exactly who to avoid based on the message
@@mjjjermaine This is true, and I'm glad for it. The one Jarvis has isn't that bad either, so I guess there's the pros and cons
@@TheNinjapancake14 yeah definitely pros and cons, I completely understand wanting to avoid them completely
Honestly, Jarvis' message was so Jarvis. Like that really does show what he's like, I love it.
8:14 hey thats where im from...nice...mozambique... :)

This one hits very different when your name is Georgia
I would 100% swipe right on you, my good man. You're doin' just GOLDEN.
@@sarahbarges oh DAMN?! Word. That’s not awesome! You stay golden, girl
The one with the girl and the fire alarm made me laugh so hard
The chick with the smoke alarm and the dude saying "fried chicken" are the winners and we have to set them up.
My entire experience with dating apps can be summed up to: Well I like my profile at least.
yep me too 😂😭
Love that for you haha
It's a personal project that I'm proud of 😊
7:26 happened to me and they didn't tell me until we had been seeing each other for four months and I had stated I was only interested in a monogamous relationship so best of luck to their other partners & I hope they've worked on communication
That sucks!
Omg I’m so sorry :( That’s totally not cool
So they just like cheating? Lol
@@Punkini It depends, we hadn’t defined the relationship. But yes if we were and he didn’t tell all of his partners it was. I have a friend who is poly and talks about how open their communication is so I don’t think he fully understood what that kind of relationship entailed.
@@magstpwk Sounds like even if he had told his partners, he hadn't been honest with or respected you because you'd already made your intentions/needs clear. Not cool. Things like that bum me out! Sorry for you.
9:02 the way he went like it’s just Jacob 🥺 made my heart hoooooo crap so cute
I love when guys demand we do our nails. They don’t realize that’s hundreds of dollars a month. Hopefully, they are paying for it, too.
Also, once I learned the UV drying lamps for gel nails have the same effect as tanning beds, I basically told my bf (this was over a decade ago) that I wouldn't be keeping up with manicures anymore. Not sure why it hadn't occurred to me (science teacher), but yeah... regular exposure to those increases risk of skin cancer on hands later in life. Ugh! :/
@@triantafelidesfox8344 That’s adorable 😭 Mine would start sneezing when he was really excited
Oooh I thought the "second mama" thing meant they already have a child, and is actively searching for a partner that'll help them raise their child
I thought that too! I find the idea of calling your partner "mama" or "daddy" or "my girl" so creepy I think my brain refused to acknowledge the possibility it was meant in a sexual way
I thought that they were in love with their mom
Coming from someone whos on these apps...the audio messages are extremely entertaining and you always get a good laugh .....
It does actually help you discern the type of person you're up against (idk how to phrase that less like you're going into battle)
i think the voice feature is an easy way to tell what type of person they are before messaging. so pro.
