Daft Punk: One More Time 🪩
I love the mental image of deadmau5 walking into the dressing room while daft punk are in the midst of changing their wardrobe, then looking at him like "quoi ? qui a laissé entrer ce type ?"
Le bouffon, il fout quoi ici? LMAOOOOO
"Qui c'est, ce gars, déjà ?"
Putting the masked acts in the same room sounded like a good idea in theory lol
For some reason I picture Daft Punk undressed aside from their helmets which are still on 🤣 the mental image of Joel being unable to read their facial expressions as they curse him in French kills me lol
@thespiesknees this moment can only be made more iconic if dead mau5 was still wearing his mask
bro met shirtless daft punk
Haha, Deadmau5 is so matter of fact, love this guy!
Canadians lol
@@will659 better than Kardashians!
Constantly bumping in to Goldy is a total blessing.
Goldie*
This is such a fun video lmao. I love hearing all the producers who have crossed paths. I always consider daft punk, justice and deadmau5 the three main eras in recent “EDM” history, (EDM being a general term) and hearing that they interacted at one point is just funny. Great video lol.
daft punk edm? hahahaahah wtf
Daft Punk and Deadmau5 should've collabed, it's criminal man.
@@matiasss550 Apologies, I mean “EM”. I forgot you can’t dance to daft punk lol.
@@WhizPill Would have been fun seeing Daft Punk collaborate with many other producers. I think the collaboration that was most likely was Justice, and even then, they (I think it was Guy Manuel) said that Daft Punk’s style and Justice’s style is too different and a collaboration wouldn’t work how people imagine it would work. Or something like that.
Daft Punk and deadmau5 are too different. I don’t feel like they would get along very well together in the studio producing something. Daft Punk has almost all of their knowledge focused on more the retro analog synths and drum machines (303s, 808s and 909s) whilst deadmau5 has most of his knowledge in purely the digital DAW side of music, Joel can’t really get his head around working a 303.
They could probably remix each other to some extent but mehh, it’s just a fantasy unfortunately lol.
@Kristian.Ofsteng Deadmau5 already did a remix to daft punk’s harder, better, faster, stronger years ago. That’s the only thing we ever got close to that
“They were mad I wasn’t drinking wine” 😂
For everybody as confused as I was, the Genesis album he's referring to is Justice's self-titled debut 'Justice' or 'Cross' as many fans call it. Genesis is the opening track on Cross.
goldie used to be big in the graffiti scene as well as the dnb scene, probably why youd always see him in the subway lol
Goldie is a fucking Goat in the scene. he's amazing and his story is great and insreational. 😂 Goldie seems like a chill dude yoy could have 5 min Convo on the street
Goldie still makes graffiti art. He has a gallery in bangkok. 🐐
That’s insane Genesis was produced in GarageBand… I was rocking that shit everyday back in highschool
I rock that shit everyday NOW lol
@@pingpong4016 Genesis album by who?
Justice
It definitely wasn’t
He's wrong, it was made in cubase
great video, please share more of these kinda stuff
“Haha, could be worse!🤣 You could be Marshmellow!🤣” 💀
I actually ran into Goldie in a London tube station 😅😂 back in 2012ish
THE FACT THAT HE STILL HAD TO THROW SHITMELLO IN THERE🤣🤣🤣 god I love him. Can’t wait to have another weird conversation with him❤️
I still admire Marshmello but Joel has already mentioned him in his literal haha they both don't have an enmity
he is so sweet
Man I wish I was this cool
Joel really said: “don’t mind me☺️” LMAOO
floating points is top
Lets go
My boy Floating Points!! Aaayyyyy
Thanks, great video. What 2 artists does he mention after Floating Points?
Ryoji Ikeda
@@8szczypiorek thank you very much, I know the artist but would never be able to make it out lol
The album is called Cross and was made in Cubase you casual.
Daft Punk has openly mentioned disdain for him as he was notoriously copying them buying any gear they publicly mentioned having, which seemingly goes beyond coincidence especially when it came to a very rare modular synth with only several copies commercially available he bought after they mentioned it enthusiastically. When you add the same idea for the mask it's maybe not too out there to consider.
Interesting 🤔 is there a link for that? Source?
yeah what's the source on this? I thought the furthest it went was just daft punk saying they wouldn't listen to his music "for pleasure". No idea about that hardware/gear mention
@@lavenderllamamusic it was one off the major interviews they gave for R.A.M. Decade ago so don't have the link convenient but I'm imagining if you search for interviews for that album would be fairly high profile. Might be the same interview where they discuss song meanings for this album.
Lol that quote about not listening for pleasure is obviously a tactful yet sick burn. Imagine if you asked a friend for music feedback and they said this.
At the same time, a young and talented person who admires the work of the greats before him, and wants to emulate their sound, then create their own, is a tale as old as time and honestly I think DP, while I adore them, are just upset at his popularity. It’s too bad cause both are revolutionary and amazing.
@@lilyc.g.5567Which is wild, considering how Daft Punk are held in such high regards/respect with such high acclaim too. There's more than enough room for everyone to eat.
You'd think Thomas and Guy-Man would pay no mind to popularity considering the reason they ever dawned the helmets in the first place
Never thought Deadmau5 would setup purple LEDs and stream like this lol
I love him because he reminds me of people i have known like just an actuql regular dude.
Had a neighbor just like this guy.
Real ass motherfucker no matter.
Fyi, Daft Punk, Justice and most of these people are not DJs, they are primarily, legendary, producers and bands. It's like saying Beethoven was an arranger.
yeah I see those guys as mostly studio producers, and had more appeal to the electronica crowd. I don't envision them working at the club crowds on their mix and track selections, at least not as their main creative outlet.
I mean they DJ as well because its apart of the game of being an electronic music producer. I think most people know, but your casual audience doesn't fully understand and thats just how it is lol
Daft Punk WERE some sort of DJ, have you seen Alive 1997 and 2007?
Kinda have to disagree. Thomas Bangalter used to DJ quite often in Le Palace, a club in Paris which actually David Guetta of all people was the manager of at the time.
@@Jelenjasyuuuup and the mixes were great too
-"Could be worse you could be marshmello"
-"STOP" 🤣🤣🤣
Deathpact ❤
"You could be Marshmello." "C'mon dude" What a conversation with Deathpact😂
Hilarious, drops perspective on the few weird moments I’ve had and continue to have. Artists are weird. Lol
Where does he talk about these things? Are these really old livestreams where he’s talking to the chat?
For some reason it doesn't bother me that Joel wears his own merch
How could you miss Goldie tho.. lol he’s one of a kind
He didn’t say he’d met Four Tet or Floating Points. He just said he likes their music lol.
What's the name he said right after theirs? was hard to make it out
@@danielhabibi1993 I couldn’t make it out either. I’ll try listening again later 😂
Where is dis full stream ?
When was this stream
it sounds like Deadmaus was supposed to be making jungle
You could be Marshmello lol epic
Seems like most interactions with Joel end up 'weird'!
deadmou5 tell us what happened between U and chris lake
"And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you kids and your pesky dog!"
Dude they're robots, what do you expect
I think a lot of people (artist or not) if they saw dead mouse they would really not care and continue about their business.
We are all deathpact
Justice and Vitalic tried to buy dr*gs from us at an event at Markuharre Messe in Tokyo. Sadly we had already done them all.
old ahh video
You look like if Bill Burr and Aaron Paul had a baby
He took a beer out of Chris Sheppard’s beer fridge? And lived? Mr.Maus, you have ⚾️s the size of Texas for doing that, you’re definitely crazier than he is.
No he took a beer out of the fridge in his "shared" backstage room with daft punk as far as I understood it.
Deadmau5 stutters too much when talking about deathpact... 🤔
isn't deathpact rezz & zed?
Nope
it's deadmau5 managing & planning and everyone else doing the work
@@nullnull2128 also nope
who do you think it is then bud@@Good4Josh
13 is definitely one
They are scared off U. Basic plcukmaus in Europe :D
Hey Joel, how’s it going, this is the hook up.. vaping is less dangerous for your health than smoking, but sometimes things get complicated.. like ohms to wattage. But I’m sure you know enough about that 👍
Hes so negative all the time, ALL THE TIME
The chemical Brothers are the best Electronic music musicians. Anyone else that thinks otherwise is deluded
Justice
Within that generation, i'd say it's: Daft Punk, The Prodigy, and then Chemical Brothers in third place
@@lavenderllamamusicwell,,, The Prodigy was different all together. They were more of the sort of hard techno. My opinion is they are sort of in a league of their own. But that’s just my thought.
@@lavenderllamamusic In that generation, you gotta add The Crystal Method and Aphex Twin
For me it’s Ekcle
The clown plays premade sets and is borderline proud of it… can’t make this shit up.
who are you talking about
ok boomer
@@ghfjfghjasdfasdf well fuck man if you're doing a 1 or 2 hour set that people paid for of course you think of the setlist beforehand. its a thing you have to compose and not just randomly jump from track to track. what do you want to see? some guy just trying stuff out?
For clarification since I suppose my post isn’t clear enough: the assclown that is deadmau shows up with pre-recorded sets and acts like he’s djing for his shows live.
That bullshit is unacceptable.
And to your point about showing up without a clue what one is going to play: ya know what, that takes balls, and ingenuity to pull off - all skills that deadmau does not possess apparently according to his own admission.
Daft Punk did the same
Still waiting for this man to make 1 good song. Most overrated producer ever
Cap. Have you heard any of 4x4=12 or random album title goes here.
k bruh
Subvert is a cracking track, and I'm not even a fan of his music in general.
