The scrambler I bought for the kid wasnt running correct so I cleaned the carb out and it runs much better now . I show some of the steps I took to getting it running correct again.
I replaced carb with new OEM carb same issue. After 2weeks of checking stator, numerous jetting changes & getting close to burning it. I put stock air box back on & it runs perfect. If I put open UNI filter on it, it does exactly what this quad does. I can't believe the difference an air box makes.
When working on a two stroke for me it's always step one- replace the spark plug. Step two- clean carburetor. That usually fixes it 90% of the time! I think you're on the right track with the reeds, good luck!
@@bucksgarage1 gonna give that a try bike only runs with a rags over the air filter if I remove it it's just bogs and now out of nowhere it keeps bogging no matter what I cleaned carb and still the same thing
Yeah...it's an old video, but for the new guy...make sure that airbox is tight, sealed...these quads are totally dependent on air restriction from that airbox. Wow this one doesn't run (like my kids in this video). He's on the right track back then...lol These are really fun quads for the kids cuz they are snappy. Snappier than the video shows. My boy does wheelies on his scrambler 90.
I got an eton 50 mini and my carb was crap try to fix it! Maybe I mess something up but. Think the float was shot! Anyway ebay carb 18$ thing turn right now and I’m happy I don’t know how oem is to compare tho

The first thing I changed was the plug. My daughter is tearing the yard up now.
@@bucksgarage1what was the problem
@sarahcaserta9244 I ended up replacing the Reed valves and it ran way better in the long run.

Sweet deal man. There's only so much to go wrong with them little 2 strokes. I think you nailed it on the reed valves.
