since when Cuban, Mexican, and Venezuelan is a race?! I'm a 100% Cuban born and raised, yet i am white, of European ancestry. 65% of Cuba's population is white. Europeans did not only come to the USA and Canada, Europeans migrated all over Latin America as well. a white person will always be white regardless of where he or she was born. that is why Cameron Diaz is white because her father is a White Cuban. i am even whiter than most white Americans. when they know I'm Cuban they get very surprised since in many occasions I'm whiter than most of them and having blue eyes. Americans need to educate themselves more.

Cuban is a nationality, not a race. Cubans can be black, white or mixed, same as Americans. So yeah, Cameron is still a white girl despite being half Cuban. Also, it is wrong to assume Franki Muniz is mixed just because he's part Puerto Rican. There are white Puerto Ricans, so it's very likely that he's still just a white boy.
+melinaDom Yes! Why don't people realize this?? People are always saying that all Puerto Ricans are mixed. Not true at all. In Puerto Rico, especially inland, there are people of pure European blood, but work the land and are severly tanned, and so Americans(especially blacks) will think that they"look black". A lot are mixed, but definitely not all.
I agree with most of what you're saying.. but most dark puerto ricans are indeed black or have african ancestry. I doubt they're dark just because of the sun.
melinaDom I am AA and Puerto Rican (mixed race) , and I have been to Puerto Rico, and my P.R side almosy only mingles with Puerto Ricans. I never said that "dark" Puerto Ricans are not mixed with black. Some are and some are not at all. A lot of people look at superficial things and conclude someone is part black when perhaps the Puerto Rican person's ancestry is a mix of Italia, Spanish, Lebanese , Portugese, Irish, with no indigenous or African. My Puerto Rican side does have African ancestry, but there are pure white Puerto Ricans with dark hair (even curly) and very tanned (climate) , just like you would find in the south of Spain, Portugal or Italy. If they come from people who are olive complexion, they will even tan very dark. In the mountains of P.R., a lot of people did not mix as the mixing was mainly in coastal cities especially eastern where slavery was more prominent. some farmers in the mountains are dark, baked from the sun, but many are pure Euro descent.

Just for your information, nationalities are not races. For example, a nationality is Jamaican while a race is caucasion/white.

I knew about the majority of the celebrities you mentioned. My mom is born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Jamaican parents. Her mother's side of the family originated in Germany, and then migrated to Jamaica. My grandmother's mother was German, Jamaican, and Cherokee. My father comes from an African-American family, and there might be Native in there but I'm not sure. I was raised by my mother so I know more about her side. Other ethnicities (my fellow Carribeans & ethnicities besides African-Americans) have assumed that I am mixed, and it is true. I love that I come from different cultures, and it is a benefit in being able to relate to other ethnicities.

You don't have to be "multiracial" to be able to relate to other ethnicities. I'm 95% black African and I have friends of all stripes. There's only one "race" the human/African race.

I'm 94.4% african some of that is north african but I actually still ended up growing up around white people not really black people. So relating can be hard with both I don't that has to do with what race you are rather your environment.

I was surprised too! I became a bit of a fan of her mama, Deborah Pratt, when I caught her on an episode of "Quantum Leap". She guest-starred on one of my favorite episodes and so did Troian when she was a kid. Both are beautiful ladies, I can really see the resemblance.

His parents were considered black because their mixture was not in the first generation or 2nd. You see, if blacks only count folks who are 100% African blood, there would be none because none of us are 100% anything. Mixed are usually for those who have parents of opposite races. A black dad and white mom for example.

I'm mixed too I'm half Indian half spanish and portuguese. But some of the people she discribe weren't really mix..like spanish mix with some other European decent is not mix. Mix is different races for example african and Caucasian or Asian. In Europe many people are half spanish half something but they are not considered mix... I don't know about states though..

Why you people always say people are mixed then call out what nationalities they are mixed with.... you realize that there are three races or four right? most of the what you called is a nationality not a race... so technically all these people are either white and black or white and amerindian descent smh....

Your title is rather misleading for many reasons. There is a huge difference between ethnicity and race. So far you've pointed out multiple ethnic groups without acknowledging the fact that many of these ethnic populations are for the most part "White". In conclusion, Frankie Muniz and Cameron Diaz aren't mixed race, they're just of mixed White Ancestry. Nice try though.
Like Cameron Diaz ... Her dad is Cuban but is a *White* Cuban. I'm from Long Beach too, a lot of white cubans live in that area and they tend to be pretty racist toward non-white/darker Cubans:(

I am a strong supporter of Interracial Love and Marriages between men & women and Mix race children. I am an African Black American man. My wife is a Hispanic/Latina from Central America. I think Biracial Mixed race people have the best of both worlds. I truly feel that Interracial couples and mix race people are helping to get rid stamp out racism and bigoty in America and in the world.
Also for the parents that create mix kids, it is a way of showing that True Love does Not see skin color, the same of God and Christ does Not see skin color, God only sees the heart and mind.

I love and support all Interracial movies such as the classic, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" and other such as "Zebrahead" and most recently "Something New"
Anyhoo, I suggest that you go on line and check out the two mix race organizations that I a member of - www Lovingday.org which is in New York and www MixedRemixed.org which is in Los Angeles. Both organizations are connected and both have a Free one time a year multiracial event for adults and children. The Free event is held every June on a Saturday.

Most people here in Trinidad are very mixed, I am Spanish, Italian, Carib, Portuguese, English, Indian and Arabian.
My daughter is all of that and Russian and Estonian. People have been moveing from place to place and mixing from the begining, I realy don't believe that there is such a thing as a pure "Race" or that race is even valid.

I'm originally Brazilian and after the abolition of slavery the government offered free land for the white Europeans, Turkish and Lebanese, Japanese, some Spanish and with the intention to go and to balance out the disproportion and they ended up mixing like crazy.The funny thing is that Mariah Carry and many even dark skin people there would many times think of themselves as white or mulato. The race thing is stupid when color is the defining factor, when in reality their are multi-ethnic skin variations. African, Middle Eastern, Asian Islanders, Indians, have different color tone variations from black-light brown, tan. and Europeans, Asian, Middle Eastern, can vary from tan-to ultra milk white. So, talking about "RACE" in terms of color is stupid. A mixed racial person "is" not black or white it's a combination of genetic traits. This is why it's stupid for a any multi racial person like most light skin blacks to go off on the "white man"... it's probably the white man genes in them that is raising hell... even though they think of themselves as blacks. lol
you didn't even have to mention Adriana Lima, since every Latin country is full of mixed people, is just here in North America that is not that common.

i don’t think she and most of these people commenting.....know what race, culture, class/status, and nationality is. And to me either you are black or you are white, there is no “mixed”. To me, a person who possesses ALL recessive genes equals “white”. Meaning, thin lips,narrow nose, light blue eyes, pale transparent skin,thin blonde hair,flat butt, and flat chest. She has like one fifth black in there, and you can be guaranteed its Moroccan or something now, you're just being extra biased and not telling us. Most of the people in this are European with like 1/8 black. Also, Vin Diesel (aka, Mark Sinclair, the whitest name you can get, {SEE; ''St. Clair''}) is European with a bit of black. You cant keep saying ''African American'' first and hope that gives it more value in their heritage. This is like correcting a childs school project ......so biased.
