It's a piss take of someone who was on another show, Big Brother, who claimed they were the only gay in the house when in fact there was another gay man in there who didn't feel the need to act like a stereotypical gay man.
could you please react to australian comedy, try thank god you're here - julia zemiro, it's a show where one person in an acting scene is unaware of what will happen, i believe a version aired in the us and uk
ooh, the way this is edited is bonkers and doesn't make much sense. I think one of the main ideas behind this is internalised homophobia, where most people were obviously raised to be straight and had very few connections to other gay people, so we carried this idea of what gayness was and were just not mentally over it (and a fairly big gap in our sex education didn't help.) Plus the 90s idea of gay men as rampant predators, terrifyingly stylish and arty, and all perfectly handsome, it was all quite intimidating. Poor old Daffyd. I still think it's a smart sketch idea but it absolutely didn't survive this compilation lol
