Oh yeah! Reese's pieces for me đ€©đ
Absolutely fantastic series, laugh after laugh. Two of the best characters ever.
Best medicine if you are feeling down đ
British sense of humour is like no other
The prison pen pal episode is easily the funniest. The character Linda is pure filth in the funniest type of way, Kathy Burke who plays her is one of the best comedy actresses ever.
The pen pal in prison was I seem to recall with great actor phil Daniels as said prisoner really funny .
The best bit in that episode is when Tom "shouts" at Freddie, just before ringing the police. When he says "And you, don't you piss on my head and tell me that it's raining!!" I always cried laughing đ
I love watching americans enjoying our english comedy. đâ€
When I first watched this series I thought it was funny, but crude. Then I got hooked on it and religiously watched every episode. It's just so fresh and so funny. Kathy Burke has always been wonderful but this just shows off her many talents :)Excellent.

It just doesnât get old, does it đ€Łđđ» Kathy Burke is hugely talented but comedy really is her forte đđ»
It is the British way of accepting the gay community.
Just like any other community group you could name, British gays are expected to laugh at themselves and straight people, and visa versa....
Forget this woke sensitivity đ
â@@MKR5210 Nothing more sensitive than getting upset over non existent buzzword 'wokeness'
â@@faithpearlgenied-a5517 its real
As a Yank living in the U.K. for 20 years I discovered this show when I crossed the pond and am so happy that FINALLY ggg is getting the hilarious credit it deserves in the US! So underrated itâs up there with Blackadder and Only Fools, just make sure you do the prison visitor episode, itâs disgusting! đ
I'm an Aussie and this has been one of my favourite English comedy shows of all time..I just love Linda !
She says all the things you think but would never utter yourself â€ïžđŹđ§
Filthy, outrageous, tasteless, cruel, utterly crude....and fucking wonderful! Thank you, mate, for finally landing on these two series.
Utterly British.....
There is a third series too, but itâs the weakest of the three. One and two are brilliant.
@@1977vision ....I vaguely remember that now. Thanks for reminding me, and, yes, the first two were brilliant.
When Linda said, "He can put his hand up my skirt and make my lips move if you get my drift.."
I nearly coated my study in an interesting new shade of coffee.
Beryl was played by Rosalind Knight, she was pretty famous for being in the St Trinnianâs films when she was younger then started popping up in British sitcoms from around the 70s. She was also in the âJolly Boysâ episode of Only Fools and Horses, where she played an intimidating landlady.
Absolutely adore Beryl especially the episode when they think sheâs dead- hilarious x
Peep Show also has characters named Jez & Suze.
Gimme Gimme Gimme!!!! So brilliant I never missed a episode when it was aired. Hilarious is a understatement đ€Łđ. Kathy Burke is genius, she writes everything herself.
she is wonderful :)
She didnât write Gimme Gimme Gimme though, that was Jonathan Harvey - look up her acceptance speech for the BAFTA she won for it, classic KB!
This show is absolutely hilarious. Itâs silly, crude, vulgar and damn funny! They are both so funny together, Kathy Burke is one of the funniest comedy performers, she just nails the character. They donât make them like this anymore, sadly!
True the wokes rule now they are offended by everything !đđŽó §ó ąó „ó źó §ó żđč
"Hand up my skirt and make my lips move" is one of the funniest lines ever!!!!
Glad you're doing this show. Gets better and better as the characters grow. Yes you need to watch until the end of the credits. There's something at the end of one episode for sure, that i can remember off the top of my head.
Gimme Gimme Gimme is crass, juvenile, immature and... brilliant because of it! Love this series. You're in for some great laughs here!
Political correctness......what's that then đ
This was one of my go-to shows back in the 90s/00s. I have all 3 series on dvd somewhere, but need to watch them again đ€
Oh man I've been looking forward to this. The chemistry between these toxic best pals is off the charts đ
In my palpatine voice gooooood :P
Have just come across your Chanel have liked and subscribed and shared with friends And family. The way you understand the British humour is second to none well wishes from the UK đŹđ§
Welcome to the channel totally appreciate it. đđđ
Beryl was played by the wonderful Rosalind Knight who sadly passed away in 2020. She was in a couple of Carry On films and Blue Murder at St Trinians. She was also in About a Boy with Hugh Grant. A talented actress indeed.
This was so pleasant to watch, I'm a huge fan of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and I loved that you didn't talk all the way through it like most people do and you waited until the end to voice your opinion on it, definitely subscribing love from the UK đŹđ§ â€â€
So happy to see you starting to watch this show! My absolute fav 90s British comedy! So glad you enjoyed it đ
Thank you always!
I hope you recognize Linda as being Perry from Kevin and Perry đshe is just an amazing actress.
Thankyou so much for uploading this Kid đ
If you have to ask then your not watching the reactions LOL.
@@bxkid7 crazy thing is I watched your video twice. But clearly I did miss it. I even like to watch until the end to hear your thoughts afterwards. I guess I'm going back for a 3rd time just to hear the things I missed đ
I loved this show they were magic together!
I loved gimme gimme gimme in the late 90âs still feels fresh as fuck now. Kathy Burke and James dreyfus were fantastic đ€đđ»
Thanks for this sad times here in UK really needed a good laugh. Loved this series so glad to share with you đ€Ł
đ»đ»
Kathy Burke is comedy gold! Bloody love her!
Best comedy ever.....so funny. Poor deluded Linda & Tom... Linda thinks she's gorgeous and Tom thinks he's a top actor. One of the best shows of the 90s.
This is the original Will & Grace! Nothing can compare to the chemistry between Kathy and James. Uk shows are much funnier than anything in the US. So many of our shows have been redone in America and are just sad copies of the original. ie, Shameless, Miranda, Broadchurch, the list is long. Cheers â
Am still chuckling to meself over Linda saying he might be a ventriloquist so he can put his hand up me dress and make me lips move đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
best line hands down for me!
@@bxkid7 the series gets funnier as well
@@bxkid7 ' _hands down_ ' đ€đ€đ€

Great show - the two main stars were awsome - and very generous to allow the lovely Beryl to steal almost every scene she was in
Just the best ever series... loved it then and still love it.. đđđđ
I loved this series when it came, out my favourite has always been the one, where they go to a nightclub, hilarious!!!!
Great show. Takes a couple of episodes to get into the swing of it, but absolutely hilarious once it gets going.
This wouldn't happen today though sadly, even comedy is policed now a days yet the reality is that people aren't so offended by this it's just a small amount of snowflakes that killed comedy like this
@@firebyrd437 The creator even said he couldn't do this show in today's world because people get so offended by everything that they'd probably be cancelled after a few episodes whereas in the 90s and early noughties people had more of a sense of humour and weren't easily offended
@@mizzlaura yes good comedy is hard to find now, PC is, killing fun
"He put me in mind of a young Shirley Porter...đŁSidney Poitier!" đ That line cracked me up! I wasn't a regular watcher of this when it was originally on, so a lot of it I'll be reacting to it along with you. The insults hurled between the two main characters are vicious, but comedy gold too. "A century of sleep wouldn't be enough!" Bejeezus Goody! đ
I LOVE Gimme Gimme Gimme đ
Liam Gallagher was married to Patsy Kensit that's why Linda didn't like her and stuck pins in her đ
My favourite episode is when she went to work in the factory đđ
A absolute classic, kathy and James are so great, a wonderful cast as you go through the series, one of the best comedies we British has made
This video came up in my recommendations and I'm glad it did. This was a great show back then but I also loved how you watched it without constantly pausing it, or talking over the episode like other videos I've seen on CZcams. It felt like we were watching the show with you in your living room and it was great. subscribed! đ
I bloody loved this show,. kathy had me in stiches every eppisode. đđ€Ł. Gonna have to go watch them again now đ đ
Imagine being 20yrs old, strolling into the living room where yer Da is watching Gimmie, you saunter over to the window to look out and hear "Was he a ventriloquist? Well ah wouldn't mind 'im sticking 'is 'ands up me skirt an making me lips move"
Heed doon ,aboot turn walk out to the sound of my Da trying to keep his snigger in.
Best show ever and left me with the most memorable and mortifying moment you realise you get yer filthy sense of humour fae yer Da!
So glad you're watching these. Kathy Burke is one of England's national treasures

I love Kathy burke so much!
This was a brilliant show Kathy Burke (aka Harry Enfield show) was just brilliant.
Glad to see youre enjoying this show. This is one of my favourite shows, its a bit of an acquired taste but really popular among the people that get it. There's gonna be plenty references that you wont get but the comments section will keep you right on anything you need to know
This will be my Saturday escape almost until Christmas now if you react to all three series...so glad you are doing this..a natural step from TTBL...cheers for this!!
The older lady is their landlady and they rent the flat from her and they only share the flat because rent is expensive and sharing is the only way these 2 can afford the rent
Perfect, love this show.
That women is wild but hilarious.
I've never seen this show all the way through but I loved what I had seen. This is one of those forgotten gems that a lot of people don't seem to remember, so glad you found this one :D
you can buy it on dvd
This is needed today. Thanks BUB. This show is very near the knuckle, LOVE IT đ
all the best hope it provides a laugh whether at me or the show :) or both
@@bxkid7 you always provide a laugh here and there, great host.
Great to see you reacting to this show, used to love this back in the day.
Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie is one of the best comedies we've ever had in the UK. My family loved it and as it was on on Friday nights, they'd let me watch it sometimes even though I was seven when it began. It was very different from any other comedy we had on in the late-1990s/early-2000s and Kathy Burke and James Dreyfus were a great pairing.
Fun fact: Brian Bovell, who played Jez, actually went on to star in The Bill (one of the programmes Tom and Linda do an impression of at the end of this first episode) as DC Robert Thatcher. The Bill was a police drama we had on in the UK years ago. It ran for nearly 30 years! DC Thatcher was one of my favourites in it. The character ended up being killed off in a showdown with his armed colleagues when he tried to get revenge on a man who'd killed his father years earlier.
I'm so looking forward to watching this series with you and getting your opinions on it. It was my favourite sitcom growing up, so nostalgic đ
Used to love watching this programme, never gets old! The millennium special was the best ever, check it out. So relatable lol
watching every episode. so far the last one we dont is i do i do i do. so millennium is coming up soon :)
Just cooked pasta, about to eat, and you've just started another one of my top 10 (or is it Top 15?) favourite sitcoms.

Iâm glad you liked it as I think it can be an acquired taste. Two truly awful people but Kathy has the most amazing lines every episode. Not sure if she wrote it but I wouldnât be surprised as sheâs a comedy genius
it was written by Jonathon Harvey. He's written for soaps, dramas etc for years

Thanks for bringing back Gimmie. I had forgotten hpw funny it was. I know you like Karen Dunbar from Chewing the Fat, but she is second behind the wonderful Kathy Burke. She went on to appear in Harry Enfiekd & friends, her best character being Wanneta Slob, which made Linda sophisticated by comparison !!
Cathy Burke caught an episode of this by chance and she was so good in the show that laughed at herself. Her mum walked in and Cathy stifled her mirth because she was embarrassed to be caught admiring herself.
Her mother died of cancer when Kathy was two
