- The Irish Descendants formed in 1990 and is still active. This is an a cappella version of "Peter Street" from their 1993 cd "Look To The Sea". They were the first Newfoundland group to record and are one of the finest groups of their genre. Enjoy!

These men were incredible singers together . I love the Irish Descendants all yr. round .......not only on St Patrick's Day .
There is something amazing about this simple a capella rendition of an amazing song. I prefer it over anything else I've heard from these guys.

Billy Butterworth Thanks for listening & taking the time to leave a comment. I usually make videos, but I could not imagine making a video for this song. I love their harmonies! I love them. It's nice to meet you, Moppet
Mine too.
❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
I need a translation for this song
Sailor comes into port, gets paid and goes to town to get a ride to visit family. A hot girl talks him into going to a party instead. They danced and then went to the hotel. When he wakes up in the morning, she left her outfit and stole all his belongings including his clothes, watch and cigs. So he had to get dressed as a woman and go back to the boat to go back to sea. His fellows on the ship give him guff over it and he swears he'll never go to a dance on Peter street again.
Oh you Landsman and you seaman I need some lyrics
nice
Thank you for listening. I've got some nice Irish Descendants coming up. Their harmonies are great. Talk to you later. My best, Moppet
***** Hello again. I've been doing some research. If you can get a Irish Descendant cd on the secondary market, get it. Some of them are listed as high as $98. I have a fortune in my music. lol. Barb
Can someone please post the lyrics? There are a few lines I can't quite make out. Thanks in advance my dear old chap!
I just posted the lyrics! The only line I'm not quite sure of is what the captain says to good old Jack here, but I'm pretty sure it's something like what I put. Great song, either way though!
@@DariusOfPersia Thanks a bunch!!
