- The Duke of Sussex is to be honoured for his service and using his platform to “change the world” at this year’s ESPY awards in the US.
Harry is to receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service, awarded by sports channel ESPN to individuals in the sporting world who have made significant contributions to the lives of others.
The Pat Tillman Award for Service is name after former NFL player and US Army Ranger Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2004.
The mother of Pat Tillman is unhappy with ESPN’s decision to give the award that bears her son’s name to Prince Harry.
Robert Jobson joins Talk's Jeremy Kyle to discuss this news.

General Lord Dannatt was in charge of the military under the Iraq and Afghanistan war.
He oversaw Harry’s military career and have often had to come out and correct all these uninformed people.
It takes 18 months to learn to fly the Apache helicopter. Even Piers Moran knows that Harry finished top of the class in flying the Apache and use of weapon and therefore became the front gunner and co-pilot on the Apache.
The Apache’s mission is to rescue British soldier trapped behind enemies lines. Do you think the Taliban is just going to open the gate, and say with a smile ‘come in and pick up your friends’? No, of course not. This is front line action.

PH should have thanked them and then said 'I can not accept this award as I do not feel I am worthy of it'. The Invictus games were created under the Royal umbrella with all the resources that provided. At one time Harry was great at using his status to shine a light on wounded veterans but now he just seems to use it to shine a light on himself and his wife. Harry abandoned his duty and tossed away his honor when this award is about a man who gave up fame and fortune for duty and service.

Pat Tillman walked away from a 3 million NFL contract to serve his country after 911, and ended up making the ultimate sacrifice. He gave up the persuit of personal wealth for a life of service. Harry gave up a life of service for the pursuit of personal wealth. ESPN is saying it's about Invictus, but they aren't honoring Invictus, they are honoring Harry. In this American's opinion it should be our Warrior Games, which Invictus is modeled after, before Invictus. But not Harry. Never Harry. He is not worthy of an award named in memory of a true American hero.
Harry receiving this award could be used to help with his visa application, because they take into account winning national and international awards to support visa applications to prove the person brings something to the country.

This is the biggest sham ever. There are many people who have actually helped achieve many things, Harry has never achieved anything, and this award being given to Harry has made it now become irrelevant.
If Harry had any human decency, he would accept the award on behalf of all the military veterans who compete in the Invictus Games and take the attention off himself. My heart breaks for Mrs. Tillman who was not even consulted by ESPN before they made the decision to bestow an award on Harry named after her late son. The optics are bad, and now Harry finds himself in the middle of yet another controversy. He has the power to turn it around and could even reach out to Mrs. Tillman to speak about all the good the Invictus Games has done for injured military veterans. However, I suspect that he will accept another award for his trophy case, and an opportunity will be missed to promote the Invictus Games and its brave athletes.
