Thanks Jamie! I plan on doing my 2010 CR-V and Pontiac Aztek. Not quite as simple because the headlight assemblies don't have a smooth curvature to them, but still doable I think.

You know it’s expensive as his headlights are getting any more it does not pay to replace him you might as well just go ahead and put the clear on and will be done with it you could easily spend to $300 a headlight if you’re buying them now definitely worth the time and effort in trouble to do it LOL

He went way to high in the sanding
At 3000 grit there is not enough for the clear coat to grab on to
Also his coats were to light
Finish sanding at 800 grit with horizontal strokes
Apply first coat lightly ( Just a tack coat )
      Wait 5 minutes
      Now apply the second coat
      A medium wet coat
      Wait ten minutes
Apply the third coat also medium wet
Wait an hour before removing the paper and tape
Clear coat cures between 24-48 hours
Leave it alone for at least a week
If you have orange peel wet sand with 2000 grit
You can buff and polish at this point
Or you can wet sand at 3000 grit and then polish.
Don’t go to heavy with the coats or you will get runs.

If you cleared over 600 or 800 you would of achieved a great key for clear to stick to and not peel. The Paint society channel showed this process going from cloudy 600 scratches to Clear in seconds. Paint peels but good effort!

Well I’m sure there’s different ways but it’s all been doing it forever and it works perfect

Do they not use a per motor or they display spray clear straight on it

I don't think they used adhesion promoter in that instance. Just 2K rattle can. As you said if it works 👍

@@Carlostype Yeah that would make sense to leave it at a deep cut to give it something to grip onto and if you were going to do that you definitely could definitely do a six 800 even 1000 grit cut clearcoat it over just pause it when you’re done game over I kind of went over engineer this but it’s a tutorial video and if you leave anything out or short cut anything over the years people will just pick up pick up pick it apart
