Forgot to mention that I put a Black Magic Pro Mist 1/4 filter on the A Camera, and a Pro Mist 1/8 on B Camera
Very good stuff
With a little bit of work on your part.
Can you suggest voice recorder app for Android with adjustable input volume 🙂
@travelgiri mantra I couldn’t find a good android app so I got a used iPhone 5s to use as a recorder. The phone is so tiny it’s great.
@@BrandonLiUnscripted thank you for your response, love your work, keep going 👍 thanks bro ♥️
@@Motionphile sure i will try thank you 👍
This ain't a shoot tutorial, it's a whole lot about complete production, compacted. Just great.
Defenitely one of the best teachers here on CZcams!!!

Pretty Awesome Dude. Thanks
You're a good teacher. This was very helpful. Having two angles also helps add some additional polish to an otherwise pretty good video.
Gud job, man!
Packed with so much info.
Thumbs up👍

Very well explained. Gracias
Yo! Thank you, Brandon. What a clear, simple, and straightforward tutorial. You made this super approachable. Thanks, again.
Love the simplicity and practical lessons you taught in this video! 👍🏼
I personally keep forgetting to use my iPhone/iPad as an external recorder (using garageband) with my shutgun mic.
So, some of my videos voice over sound pretty bad and unprofessional.
Thanks for the reminder! 😉
I really like your instruction Brandon and trust your opinions for being balanced and straightforward I also like how are you trying to use minimal equipment that makes it affordable also portable.
THIS WAS AMAZING. THANKYOUSM.
You are the Best bro
thanks for sharing this very informative video.

Great content, Brandon👍🏻
Informative 👍
great tips as always!
Sure is 🙌
Very good video.
Cool!✌️
A big fan from Philippines ❤️😇👏🇵🇭
Solid tips and demonstrations of your examples. What I also liked was the avoidance of cliché buzz words and your lighting doesn't look contrived/overly dramatic.
I'm preparing my thoughts for a two person mini documentary that I'm sure will be recorded in a home where I can't manipulate much, but I would like to apply my soft boxes and more than one camera so this all helps.
I would have rather used a soft box for better lighting wrap on my face but I don’t have one. This setup was basically making the best of my travel filmmaking kit for a studio type of shoot.
The legend has spoken
Really great video. I'll have to add a second camera now! :-)
I like how minimal the set up since we don’t see that too often.
Yes, it was a nice change from the "trends" wasn't it.
When you’re watching this, and your name is actually Alvin.....it just hits different!
Two new takeaways,
1) the depth behind the subject
2) different focal lengths of the cameras.
Thanks!
This is definitely minimal light setup and learnt it.
fantastic 😂
Yeah the background when you have depth needs very good lighting or you get grain. I learned hard way
Brandon, do you have any suggestions on what to bring to a portrait shoot besides camera and lens?
Thanks Brandon for another great video, funny you have a sloth, I bet his misses Central America!
My sloth is great, yes he misses home but he’s adapting well to the USA
Thank you as always Brandon! By any chance you can teach us more of how to film with your mobile phone like the shot choices and stuffs thanks again
I’ll work that into some future videos, sure
Brandon Li thanks you’re the best!
👏👏👏
Very useful video. So I can use my two phones like this 🤔
Best video tell us how to shoot 2phone like this
Thanks for such informative video Brandon! But what about focusing those lenses on yourself? Any tips?
I put a tripod where I would be sitting and focused on that. It’s not perfect but it sort of works. Easier solution: autofocus
🔥😉❤️🙌🏻
Great video! Thanks for sharing, that synchronizing function works fantastic. Does anyone know if Premiere has similiar function as well?
I don’t know about premiere but I think resolve has it
Premiere does have it - and the process in the UI is very similar. I used to use Premiere but switched to Resolve as I found it seemed to do a better job with the sync, and also has a way to auto colour match the clips, which while not perfect can act as a good starting point and save time.
Thank you Brandon! One question. I download the recorder app but I dont see a way to change the input volume. I only see mic gain volume. Am I blind?
Really cool set up Brandon 😉👌 is the lavallier micro under your shirt, so that we canˋt see it? The quality is definitely good 💪🏼😊 best cinematic greetings from germany
Under my shirt with gaffer tape folded in a way that sort of looks like a fortune cookie.
Brandon Li thanks Brandon 👍🏻 good Job 😂
Great video. I love your content and your presentation style. Not to sound like an ass, but two things I learned the hard way when doing 2 camera interview/talking head shoots: Number one is kinda subjective, but I always try to stick to the 30 degree rule (no more than 30 degrees between the two cameras) to keep separation down. Too much separation can start to feel disjointed. Two, and this one bit me hard (particularly on ladies who want to minimize their nose size) do not let the nose break the line of the cheek on your side angle. Moving your side camera closer to your A camera (< 30 degrees) will keep the nose from silhouetting beyond the line of the cheek. Also, I curious why you don't use the ImagingEdge app for monitoring? I've noticed in several videos that you're employing a transmitter. By and large the ImagingEdge app sucks, but it works well for monitoring and start/stop of recording. Sorry my first comment was so long (and nit picky) I really do love your content - keep 'em coming!
Yeah I may have not used the best camera placements, agreed. I don’t do dual camera shoots very often so this was an experiment. I also realized it’s much less intuitive to set up a shoot like this when I’m alone. I loathe the imaging edge app for many reasons, especially the way it disconnects whenever I put my phone to sleep.
Will the Canon M50 & M50 Mark ll work be good choices for two cameras for two differences prospectives?
wait a minute brandon....Wheres is the mic, what mic you're using , its so clean....is it wireless????? Thannks
The mentioned app (play store search) seems to only work with a device by tentacle sync... Is there another app that can take direct input from lav mic while having input control?
Nice video Brandon!
Can you do a video about mobile gimbals like the Zhiyun Smooth Q2?
Thanks!
I should be getting a mobile gimbal in the mail soon
@@BrandonLiUnscripted Alright! I'll wait for that video.
Great tip Brandon, hey final cut is your everyday editing software ?
Practice, practice and practice...
I’ve used fcp for all editing sound and color since 2011
Hi Brandon, there are mixed reviews on the zhiyun wireless video transmitter; what was your experience with the device?
It’s very reliable with the latest firmware. Fast connection, low latency. Works well across a room or a basketball court, but not through multiple walls or across city blocks. The battery life sucks, it’s only about 40 minutes. Resolution on a 5” phone isn’t sharp enough to judge focus but it has a punch-in assist.
Wait, in Final Cut you dropped both videos and audio in and it automatically synchronized them for you? Am I missing something? Did you have to do anything with those 3 pieces of media before hand to make that work. It automatically can tell where the video lines up with your audio? I can’t be understanding that right. I’m about to make a video of love to know please!
Please suggest voice recorder app for Android with same input volume adjustments 👍
Another commenter suggested Hi-Q mp3 app. I’ve never used it
@@BrandonLiUnscripted thanks 👍♥️
