An Amazon Basics Hand Plane… How Bad Can it Be?

I don't really know why, but I felt like buying the Amazon Basics #4 smoothing plane and see how bad it could be. The answer is not really all that bad, especially not for $30. These videos are helpful and you talk more about hand tools than other woodworking on youtube. I know know getting a good quality hand plane ain’t negotiable.

For sure something to turn into a scrub plane... The blade steel is nonetheless a bit too soft and frequent sharpening will be needed 😉
