  • During this quarantine time, me and my husband decided to hammer some time into this beautiful home project where we gave a makeover to our dining room wall. It was fun working on it and it ended up adding lot of character to the room.

    It’s a professional work because what ever the cutters and paint machines we don’t use in home. I would like to this couple giving good idea to me to design my room. I request this couple to share few more arts for interiors.

    Looks great! Like how the guy is wearing a mask while the girl isn’t when running the mdf through table saw...they both should be wearing a mask!

    The thumbnail drew me in!! I love this design you chose as well as paint color. I personally would have opted for a matte finish since it’s in a room that doesn’t get exposed to moisture and because you have textured walls. Semigloss paint exaggerates a large area/piece. Best reserved for trim and furniture.

    Looks so beautiful. Question for 1st timers: what equipment do I need to have to start any diy at home? I don’t have wood cutter or anything, would you make list of besic needs to have it at home to start? Thanks!

      Hi. These are some basic essentials for starting home DIY projects according to us:
      1. Power drill
      2. Miter saw
      3. Jig saw (if you want to make curved cuts)
      4. Sander
      5. Roller brush/ paint sprayer for painting
      6. Brad nailer - if you need to stick something
      7. Circular saw - if you have to make longer cuts

    lovely finish. Did you caulk the baton edges? Didnt look like you did, but still a nice finish. I personally would have gone for a centered design. No masks whilst spray painting? :-) what model paint sprayer do you use?

    • @HomeMadeDIYers3666
      @HomeMadeDIYers3666  Před 4 lety

      Hey thanks! No we didn’t caulk the edges. We thought of it, but it didn’t seem like it was needed once we stuck the baton. We started off this wall with a different pattern in mind but as we went along, had to make some compromises and that made the design not quite centered. Thats something I would fix if we can go redo it. That’s the first time we used a paint sprayer and didn’t know much about it. That’s a great suggestion to have a mask though. We use Wagner Flexio 3000 paint sprayer and we love it. Thanks for taking time in putting down your thoughts here😊

  • @wolfman1549

    Why didn’t you center it?

    • @HomeMadeDIYers3666
      @HomeMadeDIYers3666  Před 4 lety

      Good point. We started off with a different pattern but eventually ended up with this. We missed the center alignment in the process..😟

    I hope you see this message. I have noticed you guys have removed one of the accent wall video which I really loved. Was looking to do that as a DYI project for myself. It would be really great if you could give me access to it. Or if you guys plan to do that a project for me I am okay too :)

      Hi Anu. I got that video down since a lot of people mentioned that the electrical work is not correct.

      @@sujitha999 : I am really not worried about it. If you can share in a personal forum, I would really appreciate or any mode you wish to.

    Unfortunately there was so many steps missed. No primer, no sanding of mdf edges and no caulking

    Which cutter did you guys use to cut the trim?

  • @runningpanda6570
    @runningpanda6570 Před 3 lety

    Looks really well worked out and professionally finished...Masks need to be worn (both of you) when cutting and spraying! Your lungs will thank you in the long run so you can carry on producing beautifully professional pieces....I'd hire you and pay top money!

    Looks nice, but that's NOT what a board and batten wall looks like.
