0:40 smoke screen, fire and oil buttons. I actually had those on my Grand Prix back in the 80s, The smoke would put out 3 times more smoke than that Vette did. You could not see behind me. I has a gallon of Transmission fluid deleted with gas. I used Heavy Duty Windshield wiper sprayer pump to pump the mixture into my Carb. Put it in a lower gear to keep the RPMs up and hit the button. Anyone behind me had to stop. I used it once in the tunnel between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The cops shut the tunnel down for an hour to get the smoke out. You can not do that on Fuel Injected cars. The oil was an electric waterpump and 5 gallons of oil diesel mixed. I also had another pump that would squirt water out 15 feet in front of me and another that squirted cars behind me. I wish I had Videos of some of that stuff. The fire was a kit you can still get.
One thing about CHiPs, and I love the series, was if the scenes we're overplayed and corny, at least the music was great. Between Alan Silvestri and Mike Post, the music helped keep things moving along nicely. Great post. Thank you.
CHIPs wasn't corny. Compared to what came before this show, as far as the 1960s were concerned, the directors and producers came with a more upbeat; duty driven; ethical; down to earth; personalized; highway patrol show, with great action scenes; using your head; and commaraderie. Everything doesn't have to be kill, kill, kill. Cursing and sex. That's what's wrong with this world now. Cheez!
