    The objective is to pick a day-trading stock or stocks which will go in the correct direction. Many screens may help and will certainly provide room for one to view things easier, which he wouldn't have, but -- too many become a distraction. Also, the more equipment: the more the cost. So this is costing a pretty penny prior to proceeding.

    • @fosterchild4523
      @fosterchild4523 Před 4 lety

      Of course. If you are a day trader, you have to "see" an opportunity before you can capitalize on it and it's very difficult to actively monitor 10-20 stock charts squashed up on 1 screen.

    I think a better answer is:”It depends on your strategy. Some scalper who want to have a full market overview and a few charts in different timeframes, with indicators as well, will need more displays as a Swingtrader who only looks in the higher timeframes and just for a nice out and entry on lower ones.” I personally use 4 because I don’t follow every signal. And sometimes you gotta wait minutes till hours for a nice entry. So I want to have one display for news and social media.

    I have 2 screens, not because I already knew this, but because I'm poor.

    Since when do you need a second screen because you can't manage risk in any platform. I'm pretty sure you only need one screen and you certainly can manage risk in a brokerage platform.

    I just use one screen, as long as I can see my chart and a couple indicators. 99% of the time I use a silly tablet.

    At least two , or three screens plus cnbc
    I've made so much money off cnbc when they discuss buyout rumors, interviews with ceos (usually stock pops) breaking news (trade steel tariffs, buy x immediately) etc
