  • This physics video tutorial on optics provides a basic introduction into ray diagrams. It explains how to draw ray diagrams for converging lens, diverging lens, concave mirrors, and convex mirrors. It explains how to distinguish a real image from a virtual image and how to tell if an image is upright, inverted, enlarged or reduced in size.

      True, but he’s uniquely good at putting out entire courses of information on all of those things better than most professors who specialize on the individual components can, and in less time.
      As, what has always seemed to be, one person.
      Truly insane. The amount of time it would take to put out content as often as he has in so many different subjects as well as he does if he doesn’t have a truly incredible gift would be staggering. Idk how he’d be sleeping ever.

    How do you know where the focal point goes? For example, for the concave mirrors you put both the focal point and the object on the same side of the mirror, but for the convex mirror, they were on opposite sides of the mirror.

    • @puthearathaim2111
      @puthearathaim2111 Před 4 lety +11

      TLDR 'the focus is half the radius', Imagine the spherical mirror being part of a circle, the centre of this circle is the 'centre of curvature' and the focus is located directly on the midpoint between the centre and the intersection between the principle axis (the horizonal line) and the mirror.
