Also, what an amazing piece of software you've created there. No danger of being trapped in the uncanny valley, that's true. But personally, I find purely synthetic instruments and voices, which are not trying to perfectly masquerade as human or analog, to be quite beautiful in their own way. I would never have expected you to retain that iPod Touch after so many (15?) years -- much less find a use for it! That warms the cockles of my heart. I fucking love you, man.
I love you too man! I don't remember what you had on your myspace way back when, was it Amarilli? I love Italian poetry / music from this period precisely because it so histrionic. "Take this spear, open my chest, and you will see 'Amarilli' written on my heart" is such a great example. Monteverdi is full of really funny examples, my favorite being his motet "stringetemi finch'io venga" - "strangle me until I come", which contains a lengthy description of what his lover's tongue tastes like.
