I bought the adapter a few moments ago because I love the form factor from the dualsense. And I have the clicky triggers installed, so I don't care when this adapter doesn't support adaptive triggers.

While the Steel Series 9X does support Bluetooth, that’s not how it connects to the Xbox. It uses the proprietary 2.4ghz frequency. The Bluetooth option allows you to simultaneously pair a phone or another Bluetooth device while paired with the Xbox.

It does do that but on the series X. You can't use mic simultaneously on phone and xbox series x

But, I also prefer the layout of the ps5 controller. So rather than learn a new controller this let's me use the form factor I am used to, and still get my next Gen game on!
Question, can I re map the buttons if I use the ps controllers, or would it be best to get one with paddles and map the buttons how I want. For example I want it to be similar to Xbox controller, I don’t want to shoot with right bumper. Thx for the video!

There is a new adapter coming out for ps5 that I'll have some more info on shortly. Just waiting for them to arrive.

PlayStation controllers have always been superior for accuracy on the sticks that's why I prefer it. Most CoD / warzone players use it for that reason. Does this method increase input lag or is it the same as using it on a ps5?

The system will think you're using an Xbox controller. So all button menus will show Xbox layout.

Ok so I just bought one today and it worked at first. I was using a PS5 controller on an Xbox Series X. I was playing Forza and then around 15 minutes into playing, my controller wouldn't vibrate anymore. I tried unplugging the wingman xb and plugging it back in. It was vibrating during gameplay then stopped again after a couple minutes. This product is defective.

Just subscribed, How is the controller layout when using this method?
everything is exactly the same as the Xbox as far as where the button exists. So X on xbox would be Square on PS5. B would be O on the PS5. Y would be Triangle.
Analogue sticks of course are the same and so is R1, L1, R2, L2
If you have mappable paddles they map the exact same way.
So for cross gen games all the buttons you push are in the same spot, they just may be designated differently due to the console difference.

The system thinks you have a hard wired Xbox controller plugged in, then the Bluetooth in the dingle bridges to the controller

So question. This worked flawlessly up till about two days ago. Now the Ps5 and wingman hook up to each other, however I cannot control my Xbox series s anymore. It does nothing, almost like ko controller is there. Any ideas on this by chance? Great video btw, just looking to see if this happened to you or anyone else

Unfortunately no
There are other ways to use an Xbox controller on Ps5. But it only works on ps4 played on Ps5 and some ps5 games.
You can use an XBOX controller on PS5 if you use remote play. This way you don't need an adapter. Just sync your xbox controller to your phone. Once you've done that the TV on which your PS5 is connected will still display your game. So you can use your xbox controller on your PS5, but it might have some lag at more fast paced games.
It has a lot of lag. Like, to the point that it's useless.

Well, it's kinda clickbait since it doesn't FULLY! support the controller. Adaptive triggers for example don't work which makes it pointless using this controller on a XSX.
For me it was about the form factor
I have clicky triggers so I wouldn't notice any difference.
