Why not make it out of the structural fiberglass and put the carbon fiber as the final layer? Also, part of kevlar's strength is that it is offset by something like 45 degrees on each layer. If you haven't already, you could implement that technique into the structural fibreglass as well--it may affect the tensile strength by layer.

Also, how about a different epoxy that graphene from the flash graphene is added, maybe that the missing piece?
From what people said of putting graphene, if added to concrete, it will increase it's strength.

I've done something similar for strength testing, but on smaller scales something that I have found works is to attach the wire/string to the load point at one point and a bucket for holding water on the other, then slowly add water until the test part snaps then weigh the bucket. A bit slower, but more exact than the lifting weight method and cheaper than a load sensor.

One thing to consider is if you want the nice cosmetics of the beautiful carbon fiber, but still want the cost/strength of fiberglass or kevlar, you can simply use the stronger material, then put a single layer of the pretty stuff on the exposed surface. Might be obvious to some, but it's often overlooked.

To add a little to the conclusion, fiber glass (S glass) is "stronger" than carbon fiber.
Fiber glass can withstand more tensile load than carbon fiber for a given weight, Kevlar is even stronger than that. Even if you use E glass (what more people use when they use fiber glass) carbon fiber is only about 20% stronger.
If the force is in compression Kevlar becomes much weaker than even E glass. Kevlar does however have very good abrasion strength compared to the other two. So if you plan on sliding across the concrete Kevlar is a good option
Carbon fiber is by far the most "stiff" of these three materials, which is why its used on lots of race cars, because the shape of an element is important to keep.
Carbon also has very little "elongation" compared to S glass or Kevlar, so if something is very positionally important Carbon is the way to go.

Good luck with the suit. Love your work so far. I have no experience but remember once saw a layering of carbon fiber (and possibly fiberglass and maybe kevlar weave) was done with a rotation of the layering resulting in stronger mesh for car part. I would recommend a small test with a rotation of 45 degrees to purposely misalign the weave...hope you try it and see if you get any benefit for the suit build.

I am not sure you correctly factored in the different thicknesses of your materials, since you didn't go into detail on your calculations.
Just to be certain, the correct formula for the bending resistance of a rectangular crosssection is (Width*Thickness^2)/6.
That means for double the thickness, you would expect to see quadruple strength in terms of bending load.
Did you calculate it that way? Because I am suprised fibreglass comes out at the same strength as carbon fiber.
Also, consider apllying pressure to the part while the resin is hardening, for a higher density of fibres and better strength per thickness (weight) in the finished product.

While I'm note entirely comfortable giving complete technical info on an open youtube channel, HDPE as a body armor substrate should not be dismissed. Depending on your needs (assuming ballistic?) density and weave retention under deformation are critical parameters to consider, and why kevlar has been the 'gold standard' to date. I know there is some advocacy for ceramics, but the downside is that they only protect/work Once and must be replaced after impact.
On the other hand, if there's a death squad approaching your house and all you have are floor tiles, they'll do an above average job (ahem, Once!).

Hello from Tokyo Alex! Big fan. I have a project that required a custom shape 1000psi tank… I’m hoping to use a a similar technique. The make the tank, would you know how many carbon fiber sheets would be needed for 1000psi? 800psi is CO2 gas.
I am also assuming they the 3D print coins simply be the “inner” shell and reinforced by adding the epoxy plus CF sheets over the 3D print?
    What would you advise?
