Their relationship is so wholesome. Very older brother/younger brother. I love how Leo definitely has a soft spot for Mikey. He’s always the one patching him up or falling for the puppy eyes.
Something I noticed,after Leo became their Sensei after Splinter died,I feel like Leo took what Splinter said about Mikey being the most talented to heart and tried to put a lot of work into him and his ninja abilities. That’s why he paired them up together more in the later episodes. He kinda wanted to make Mikey his personal protégé (at least that’s the vibe I got)
Looking back at the 2012 TMNT series, I never realized how much Leo and Mikey actually get along. They’re really cool with each other, rarely getting into conflict with each other
