I have a cellular series 4 and I think it was totally worth it. I prefer taking walks for exercise and being able to go on a walk where I’m without my iPhone for a couple of hours and not needing to worry if I will miss an important call or text is invaluable. Completely worth it for that alone.
i have a cellular activated series 7 and i have done this a few times, however, for all communication, Snapchat ain’t on Apple Watch so im slowly transitioning to getting into contact with all my socials on imessage
Definitely worth it my guy. Working out, going to the grocery store and at work. It’s more convenient to be mobilized with the cellular version than carrying the phone all the time. Plus listening to audio books while going for a run is clutch.

I just love to go out without having to carry my phone with me. Even when I’m with my phone I don’t have to take off my backpack and find my phone every time I want directions, informations, pay for something or starting my audiobook or music.
At work (working in a hospital) I now can be reached for important private calls.
I would not want to miss that anymore.

I bought an apple watch Se 2nd generation. In India we don't have to pay for the apple watch plan. I just pay the equivalent of $5 for both phone Esim and apple watch Esim Postpaid. with unlimited data and calling and messaging. I guess depending on the region you live in, the prices and value may vary.
I used to think cellular on Apple Watch was not worth it but since I found a plan for my Apple Watch I decided to give it a try and now I love being phone less and now that I got an Apple Watch with LTE I don’t have to bring my phone along anymore.
I think one main benefit people miss when it comes to the cellular version is peace of mind. What do I mean by this..? There are some of us that are dads and husbands that would very much appreciate the fact that in case of an emergency, there is a second layer of opportunity to make an emergency call or text if needed with the apple watch for kids or spouses. Honestly the reason to own an Apple Watch is because of emergencies crash detection if your phone gets lost stolen or just doesn’t work you have your Apple Watch and it has your location emergency sos heart rate monitor etc that’s the reason to get one especially when you are at work you can’t take out your phone but you can check your watches notifications fast honestly for emergencies it’s really worth it!

You in fact can use an Apple Watch as a standalone device and have it as your main number. I work in cellular and a bunch of parents get apples watches for their kids. So they can contact them.
Sometimes I wake up at 10am or 11.30am
I have a gps only Apple Watch series 4 I use for my conditioning and cardio workouts. So I don’t need cellular. Besides as an athlete my phone is on me all the time when I’m not training for my next promotion exam or working
Good video.. I'm on Tmobile and they now have a $5 plan.. calls/txt and 500mb of data.. not unlimited but to be able to answer calls/txts anywhere without my phone is great.

I have the Cellular S7. I got the unlimited $10 plan from T-Mobile. I did a “data usage study” and it seemed that the most megabytes used were 100mb 1 time only in 6 months. The past month I used only 20mb. So, I downgraded the $10 unlimited to $5 500mb.

Hah, just by streaming with Apple Music (not sure if its lossless as in in iphone), eats hundreds megs just in few minutes. Unlimited plan is the way to go. Here in Finland, those are only plans you can get. Nobody got time for those limited plans.
using all of those features just as calling, emails, texts, and surfing web how many hours doe the battery last if you are a medium or a heavy user?

You can still use it with no cellular if you decide to not get a additional plan with your provider. I’m from Europe, but I assume it works like this everywhere
The reason you should buy an Apple Watch is simple, for however you see fit. I’ve read people buying it for only emergencies like losing their phone, health features, etc. Others as an extension of their phone since they’re in environments where they can’t use their phones. Me, I use it as an escape from the overload of what comes with having a phone; the internet, the social medias, the constant rabbit hole scrolling, the random grabbing my phone for no reason just look up useless information (lol) or just because I’m bored and overall just to escape. Pair your Apple Watch with AirPods and take off. No extra weight in your pockets, nothing flopping as you run, nothing extra to keep track of, just you and your Apple Watch. Especially if you have the cellular option.
